I do not care if people are left, right, religious, atheist or whatever as long as they are decent people, and Monster is not. He is an asshole, simple as that.
Some people seem to forget that you can actually advocate free speech without acting like a total turd all the time.
Just look at @Francisco, he fully supports free speech in every way possible and he is still one of the nicest guys around.

As a very general fact, not related to the conflict: Refreshing to see at least one democracy in the middle east.
On the actual conflict: Horrible acts of hatred and violence have been committed by both sides.
I see it as a land dispute that I’m simply not opinionated enough to see one side being fully right about.
And I got some Israeli and Palestinian friends and while they try to educate me I think I’m far from the right person to have any real thoughts about such complexity since I’d probably be wrong no matter what.
However, it’s clear that what’s practically a land dispute is fueled by a clear divide between two ethnicities and religion.
Had it been simply a land dispute I think the world would have managed to maybe not solve it by now, but it would be far less evil acts taking place, by everyone.
It’s horrible really, and it’s spiraling too.
Any violent act by Israel increases hatred towards jews.
Any violent act by Palestine increases hatred towards muslims.
And to be fair hatred at both sides is already really really bad.
And I wouldn’t ever take one side to be 100 % right, because both jews and palestinians as groups of ethnicities have suffered a lot historically and so that also reflects the complexity of the issue.
I think my stance is heavily influenced by the general stance in Sweden though, a little naive and with an urge to lessen violence and hatred.
Sweden has a very good relationship with Israel, while also being the first EU member to recognize Palestine in 2014.
This is what I dislike about LowEndTalk. I wanted to read a thread with facts and details about Epik. I wanted to learn how the various domain registration issues are being handled by those involved - those managing Epik, Epik's creditors, its customers, ICANN, etc. The problem is interesting to me - Domain registrations are expiring while Epik and the domain registrants are in corporate limbo.
What I got was the usual politics. I do not object to the politics, but I wish they lived in a separate thread from the facts and details. Some members make excellent content contributions here, but ruin them by intermixing the factual details with their personal political opinions.
The interweaving of factual content and political comments in many posts is a serious drawback for LowEndTalk.
You have a point in general, but not in this case I think, or this thread rather.
The thread is about a registrar crashing because of missmanagement because of Mr. Monster.
Without going through it all again, it’s obvious to me he has a very real hatred towards jews, enough so that he had to let the jews on the board go even though he said they were good for the company - simply not tolerating their presence because of their ethnicity.
He also wants to spread the what he seems to think is a real manifesto of someone admitted to brutally murder muslims in the rawest act of hatred, an act he, unlike the shooter himself, believes isn’t real.
I won’t recap every disgusting detail about Monster, but it’s important to have in mind that this is a person who’s openly profited on spreading thid video of muslims being murdered and at same time as I understand it committed actions resulting in his own clients losing their money and their domains, in the hope of maximizing revenue for his company, then he left.
You blame the envirement on LET for allowing political discussion, but it’s enevitable on any platform that people don’t accept the praising of any company ran by someone like that.
These praises are simply the effect of a huge spike in alt-right praises in every single thread, even when the topic isn’t political.
I can tie this, very easily, to have started just after the Kiwi Farms thread.
Refungees fled here, and unlike their wishes regarding refungees, LET happily accepted them and the result is this.
This is the result and as long as LET allows this constant ranting about gay people, the support for the kind of behaviour I explained above, and the general edgelords competing for attention, the response from many members, me included, is pretty much guaranteed.
The day I can’t point out the support of a company ran and founded by someone with this amount of hatred towards jews and muslims, that’s the day I leave.

Mate, move on. I don't think anyone gives a shit about "alt-right", "far-right" and so on. The goal is to inform the community about what Epik is doing - and it has NOTHING to do with politics, rather their shit management. As much as I've been a part of "offtopic" posts in this thread, I'd rather want(and probably most of the people here) this thread to serve as informative resource to current Epik customers.

So another update:
Got another small refund credited to my account and immediately turned around and tried to purchase epiksucks.net (didn't work.)
Epiksucks.net seems to still be available through other registrars, so it looks like .NET's are also affected by this BS.
If you have a .COM/.NET with Epik and it's expiration is coming up, get out ahead of it now. There is no "processing queue" and the support agents are at Baghdad Bob levels of bullshit.
So to recap what the situation is at Epik
You pay for a domain/domain renewal of a .COM/.NET -> put into "processing queue" aka the blackhole -> You complain about not receiving what you paid for -> they assure you "everything's great" and "is just taking some extra time to process" -> You wait -> You ask for a status update -> they assure you "everything's great" and is just taking EXTRA time to process" -> You ask for your money back to your card -> they tell you they'll send it to their billing department -> you email again because you don't hear back asking for a refund again -> they tell you they've escalated the ticket -> you have to contact them again asking what the situation is -> You receive an email saying you've received store credit -> you contact them telling them you don't want store credit because their system is screwed and you can't buy/renew .com/.net -> they apologize and forward it on to the refunds department -> you never get a response. So what do you do? Use your store credit and start at step #1 and do it all over again.
There you go - saved you over a month and a half in experience with Epik without all of the fun that accompanied it.
Move to California and pass the bar. That's all it takes to be a lawyer there, right?

My .tld got registered at 1api.net after 1 week because they had some issues, hope they resolve it untill namecrane is out.

I paid for a domain renewal 2 weeks before the domain was set to expire. Fast forward two weeks, in the middle of a presentation, poof, gone. Didn't think anything of it because I've never in my life paid for renewal and had it go sour - thought the server died or my internet shat out. Nope, it was just my domain expiring and set to a parked page with Epik branding.
Renewal was purchased early March, had my problem mid-March so this is the third month that these issues are persisting. I'm sure registrars have issues here and there but this has been going on for months now. The support people HAVE to know what the deal is, but they're fine telling you everything is fine when in reality, you're out money and you have nothing to show for it. Really feel bad for people who bought domains and then ended up having it bought from underneath them while they were waiting in the "queue"
Here's what I don't get...
I paid for a product with USD -> I don't receive said product -> in return, I get monopoly money I can't spend elsewhere and if I try to use it as intended, I still get nothing.
How is this not outright fraud?
