What would happen If you put a server on the moon

Could a data center be placed on the moon and would the servers work. If so how much do you think it would cost to by a server on the moon....

I don't know but the latency would be terrible!
Just because it's 4/20 doesn't mean you have to smoke the whole bag.
@yoursunny has in Arctics so basically calculation can be like
∫a^b^{f(x)1+x} dx
easiiii business, paynow and reserve your server spot
btw, it won't be DMcA ignored.
NAT only , 1 port
and no refunds.
only Add your invoice # and get double BW pleasure.
FWIW some radio amateurs like doing EME (Earth-Moon-Earth) communications which is just bouncing radio waves off the moon. The lowest time for than is over 2.5s round-trip, so aside from all the difficulties even getting a server to the moon, figuring out how to power it, getting more than a few Mbps from it, etc... you would be still be better off putting the server literally ANYWHERE on Earth, and running it through multiple round trips around the world through different layers of tor, than you would having a server on the moon.
Speed won’t be a big concern. As of 2021, NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) currently provides the highest data speed for a permanent communication system between Earth and the moon, with a rate of up to 100 megabits per second. Latency is about 1.28 seconds. They are also developing Lunar Gateway, a permanent space station in lunar orbit that will use advanced communication technologies, including laser communications, to provide high-speed data transfer between the Gateway and Earth. They have also achieved approximately 600 Mbps speed in one of the tests conducted using lasers.

i forgot to add Fran.
You will become broke. That's all.
too late.
cheers guys
Meh, if VMs are available I'd book one to minimise latency to the non-existent population there for the content they will never view. Still trying to get ourselves on McMurdo first, so moon will have to wait until this other nonsense PoP goes live.
A server on the moon, with a latency worse than Australia.
Mandatory Pornhub cache needed.
It must have also been a hotbox.
@its420somewhere
Imagine going to the moon for replacing hdd.
Might as well setup a remote office there, non-helium drives will just be crashing more often than them spacsex rockets.
