Sorry, I forgot the speed test link: https://as62240.net just make sure you pick the correct location.

Wow, it's been quite some while since the last offer. Great offers like always.

Wait a minute, what's wrong with Brazil?

  • I use both, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, InceptionHosting VPSes in production where's required exceptional good uptime and I don't see myself moving away anytime soon.

    Good work Anthony!

This is nice. Compared to black friday offers it's basically a trade of additional disk space for lower commitment period.

    Both equal. E-2278G and raid-1 NVMe Gen3.

It was a self-preservation decision; only so many police orders staff have time to deal with in a given week/month, and 100% of them were from Brazil.

    Aye... Got it.

For anyone who is interested in E-2278G (located in Frankfurt, actually):

    Removed.

Will update the full YABS in the later post.

To be honest, the 512GB and very soon the 1GB plans will be phased out, when it gets to the point that you don't have enough ram to install the latest stable releases from ISO's the volume of tickets makes the plan not worth having.

Not when you install from ISO, and actually I doubt that is the case from a template, maybe on OpenVZ when you don't run your own kernel.

In my experience 128MB is barely enough for the kernel itself. Maybe it will be enough for a WireGuard server. 512MB looks OK for much personal stuff (except some ISOs will fail to boot).

I personally would like to request to preserve these smaller plans, maybe it is OK to add a notice stating "ISO boot probably won't work for such plans, do not open a ticket on this". I'm sure many people love to collect small idle boxes here, and they do work in many cases.

I'm currently using 2x1GB plans from you, both are great! Thanks for the perfect service.

1GB ram package (FRA-SSD-KVM-1024) is not part of this promotion.

I definitely can resonate with this plan! I have to admit that starting 2023. even 1G RAM seems to be not enough in many cases. Yeah, all is fine until that service using 250MB is running there, and then suddenly when I do OS update I get an OOM. Of course, a bit of swap could've helped there, but I have avoided using swap space for a decade, for many practical reasons!

Generally, I decided to cancel all remaining 1G RAM VPS this year, as good as they might have been otherwise, concluding that 1G RAM is just not enough today.

I do understand that there are people running wireguards on 64MB RAM and never patching their OS and stuff like that, but... it's 2023. we need to move on.

On the bright side, the cost of hardware is in a permanent deflation, so you can probably get 2G RAM now for the same price as 512M RAM costed only 5 years ago.
