looking for a reliable low end server - need to use it for apache and mysql

hey, looking for a low end VPS for apache and mysql (plus squid proxy) with a good price, can anyone point me to a good service provider? my demands are not very high, all I need is 1-2 GBs of ram and some storage.

my monthly budget is around $2-$4 a month, thank you!

use a good shared hosting. Will run better than a VPS with low resources.

apache + mysql might enough using shared hosting like @Hxxx said, except your mysql might need higher resources if you had high traffic (hence you need vps [for mysql alone]). for squid proxy, it depend on your config, it can go high even without high users load, which can get you in trouble with vps provider, so set your config correctly.
This just some advice, if you already know thats good. If not, well, you can take it or ignore it

unfortunately i can't really do sharing (even though it's a good idea as you said) because i need to run other applications like the proxy
