Curious what 768MB VPS from RackNerd can do?

I've done video for LowEndBox testing exactly that!
spoiler alert: it can handle 1-2kk visitors per month in realistic scenario!

@AXYZE -- Great stats! Awesome work with that video by the way. I think you did a fantastic job. For that being your first video, I'm very impressed, and your English is great as well!

I love how structured everything was, and how you deep dived into the technical aspects of things as well. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you in the future 👊

Thanks for kind words Dustin! <3

Racknerd is really cheap, but they don't allow to install windows :( they suspend my vps after install windows. Then I become a failled reseller :(

RackNerd doesn't allow installing Windows on their Linux VPS because of SPLA with Microsoft. If you want to run Windows, have to specifically purchase their Windows VPS and it also includes a licensed copy of Windows.

Actually i have install and use windows on their linux for years, i buy yearly package and sell them as monthly.... and they just lock down them recently. Seem they still not put this term in TOS.

Hi @tinyinstaller, thank you for commenting. What @rattlecattle pointed out is correct, this violates SPLA, therefore this is not something we can allow.

We legally license Windows, and providers who do the same cannot allow client owned licensing on infrastructure provided by RackNerd, or in general by said provider. This is common within the industry, and you’ll find this to be true with those who obtain licensing legally.

full disclosure, eh ? Now they have enough reasons to ban your account altogether

Reselling is not allowed unless specified and or given permission!?!

Hmm many people dont have enough money to buy yearly, then i just help them to buy it, they will payme monthly. that is contract between me and my clients, that not related to them. That same case when you work on website and client want you buy domain/hosting and manage website for them... I'm not reselling whole thing (as-is)

Well anyway i am not affiliated with racknerd so can't help with it, the server went poof right?!

Hi @TrK -- without looking at his account specifically as I don't have his client info handy, I can comment generically and want to point out that servers don't just go "poof" here -- if a server is suspended, it's essentially "paused" which means the server is still technically available, but just offline - which means that it can be unsuspended, as long as the client communicates with us in good faith and within reason. We are quite reasonable folks to work with as long as you communicate and there is an action plan in place to resolve whatever abuse issue is at hand. In this particular case, we don't make the rules here when it comes to SPLA, all the client has to do is communicate with us, and we'd be willing to work with the client on unsuspension, as long as there is a plan being communicated and being put in place to bring the VPS to compliance.

That being said, @tinyinstaller feel free to DM me with your account information (a ticket ID, or email address on file) so that I can look up your account and see what we can do to help here. Thank You!

So good to know that. Not all lowend providers do that.
