Very much appreciate the feedback. It really is useful in helping us evaluate solutions and setups we offer to end-users.

Merry Christmas to everyone still up!

We have a little extremely limited dedicated storage box in-stock and available. There will only be a small handful of these put up over the next few days.

120TB Bare Metal Storage Christmas Special

    • 16GB DDR3 RAM
    • (1) E3-1230 V2 CPUs
    • (1) 1TB SSD Storage
    • (12) 10TB HDD Storage
    • Unmetered @ 1Gbps
    • (1) IPv4 Address
    • $99/mo

    The bad

These systems are older E3's, only 16GB ram, the BMC is old enough that it does not play nicely with our built-in KVM/console functions for end-users, and has a high chance of needing manual intervention from someone on our staff during install/re-installs.

    The good

a lot of disks and bandwidth for very little money.

    The bonus

I had ChatGPT write a few sales ads for the server with the only inputs being the server specs, price, the site where the ad would be posted, and vulgarity encouraged.

ATTENTION CODERS and TECH GEEKS! Tired of your storage server not living up to your standards? We've got you covered. Get rid of that piece of shit hardware and step up to Crunchbits.com's 120TB storage server. Yeah, that's right. 120 TERABYTES for just $99 a month! Insane right? You're probably thinking this must be the most advanced storage machine out there... WRONG! This relic of a server is running on outdated hardware with next to no RAM or CPU processing power. But hey, at least you get an insane amount of blank space for the price of dog shit. So what are you waiting for?! Get your hands on this ancient piece of junk from Crunchbits.com now and start storing data like never before!

Hey there, chumps! Looking for the best deals on servers? You've come to the right place. We at Crunchbits.com know that you're too cheap and pathetic to spend your hard-earned cash on anything worthwhile, so why not take advantage of our ridiculous server specials? With us, you'll get the absolute worst in customer service, outdated equipment, and broken promises - all no charge! Don't worry, we have plenty more shitty deals where that came from. Just remember: if it seems too good to be true, then chances are it's coming from Crunchbits!

    Hmmm... I uhh...

Our entire network (and upstreams) all have DDoS protection, but we can't ignore legitimate DMCA's due to being in the US. We do work with our customers on the dedicated servers/bigger VPSes to avoid interruptions from fraudulent DMCA notices and find solutions to avoid entire system downtime or disruptions.

They'll be coming, with a little extra new year special added on. Our current plans are virtually sold out so I have them disabled. When we finish racking some more storage systems it will be a little more ...favorable for a very short period.

Thank you! I'll wait for your restock then.

BTW, your looking glass shows really bad connectivity to Germany, at least to my home connection. Very big packet loss running ping and MTR, and test file downloading speed never higher than 15k/s. Guess something must be wrong.

Hmm, we are not ideally located (physically) for connectivity to Europe--much better for US/Asia but it shouldn't be that bad. I don't know too many German sites but mtr to bild.de looks okay (~175ms mtr, and no packets dropped). Checked from a some German providers looking glasses back to us and also came back fine. It's likely the issue is somewhere between home connection and ISP (filtering, peering, etc).

120TB Bare Metal Storage Christmas Special

    • 16GB DDR3 RAM
    • (1) E3-1230 V2 CPUs
    • (1) 1TB SSD Storage
    • (12) 10TB HDD Storage
    • Unmetered @ 1Gbps
    • (1) IPv4 Address

@swat4 @kend @zots0127 @justchil @netfliq the restocked units will be live again in the afternoon ~1-3PM PST 12/28. We only had a total of 4 left and I'll make a post here as soon as they're live to order.

Restocked the RAID-10 SSD KVM VPS special as well since those got pretty low.

Additionally, due to being the most requested 'feature' we now accept PayPal.

Merry Christmas to everyone still up!

We have a little extremely limited dedicated storage box in-stock and available. There will only be a small handful of these put up over the next few days.

120TB Bare Metal Storage Christmas Special

    • 16GB DDR3 RAM
    • (1) E3-1230 V2 CPUs
    • (1) 1TB SSD Storage
    • (12) 10TB HDD Storage
    • Unmetered @ 1Gbps
    • (1) IPv4 Address
    • $99/mo

    Thanks @crunchbits for the heads-up.

It is definitely worth the price!

    I appreciate the feedback.

    Thank you for the heads-up!

I've tested the download from 5 different Internet connections in Germany, both private and business DSL lines from different network providers. Still, the download speed is no more than 20k/s. I wish you would improve this in the near future.

Not sure. I rented a couple of German VPSes from providers here because you made me curious. Generally the results were all almost identical:

Speeds are not amazing to us (which I expect given the distance) but they are a far cry from ~20k/s. As far as connectivity/routing/filtering between German ISP's and home users we really have no experience or control there. I don't think we have a problem or anything to improve on our end short of colocating servers in Frankfurt.

I was going to ping about the 120TB servers going live, but all of them got rented before I could even finish this message. Did not realize they were watched that closely. There will be 1 or 2 more going up later tonight but then that is it for that specific deal--no more hardware for that combination.

Yep. Open a ticket just so we can make sure its assigned to the correct product. Auto-deploy with ipv6 didn't like these older servers so we just have to manually add them.
