    BRUTAL 2022 Black-Friday Killer Deal I order #1197772947

Could use more disk, if possible. B)

Having said that, disk is a tad slow and has measurable I/O wait even when idle. Let's hope it improves when everybody stops yabsing their new toys. :)

Networking is really great, if you can tell is it physically in Almere or Lelystad, just curious...

Finally, @HostSlick I can't find VM console access anywhere on the panel, can you help with that?

Thanks for the great deals this BF!

Check it out! Your random gift is added!

Can I get more disk space or doubled for brutal killer deal I too? The only reason holding back from placing order.

    There is nothing about more disk;
The gifts are randomized by generator

    Other than that, looks good.

Since I have the same model, here are my numbers, FWIW.

    iperf3 Network Speed Tests (IPv4):
    ---------------------------------
Provider | Location (Link) | Send Speed | Recv Speed | Ping
    ----- | ----- | ---- | ---- | ----
    Clouvider | London, UK (10G) | 2.59 Gbits/sec | 6.39 Gbits/sec | 7.55 ms
    Scaleway | Paris, FR (10G) | 2.70 Gbits/sec | 4.85 Gbits/sec | 12.3 ms
    NovoServe | North Holland, NL (40G) | 2.49 Gbits/sec | 5.99 Gbits/sec | 2.74 ms
    Uztelecom | Tashkent, UZ (10G) | 3.40 Gbits/sec | 4.33 Gbits/sec | 99.0 ms
    Clouvider | NYC, NY, US (10G) | 2.47 Gbits/sec | 2.55 Gbits/sec | 75.6 ms
    Clouvider | Dallas, TX, US (10G) | 1.52 Gbits/sec | 1.62 Gbits/sec | 119 ms
    Clouvider | Los Angeles, CA, US (10G) | 1.19 Gbits/sec | 1.31 Gbits/sec | 145 ms

These are with fq qdisc + bbr tcp cong, and some other tuning, all on kernel 6.0.8. Some of those numbers already dropped a bit since the VM was provisioned, as new people come onbard, probably. Still, I find the speeds very much appropriate for a shared 10G VM with liberal usage policies. If yours are much lower, you might wanna tune a bit, too.

Honestly, I'm much more worried how much SSD array performance will deteriorate in time, when everybody jumps in and start hammering. :)

Im checking to adjust/optimize some values/settings later. I already did for the Network for the containers. Otherwise deal is sold out almost and people already hammering

  • @maverick thank you! highly appreciated.
@HostSlick is it possible to have nested virt enabled for those, or is it not supported?
