    Okay, but can I ask why you guys are not willing to apply the promo to existing servers? Many providers do this but I don't understand it. Is it because you think there will be people do not want to migrate their data so they will keep their old more expensive order?

    I don't understand what do you mean. If they can apply this promos price to an existing server, the price will be the same as I order a new server again. Why is it throwing money?

    Because their goal is to attract new customers (to rent hardware currently not in use, use bandwidth paid for but not used, etc.), not to have existing customers pay less...

    You guys all explained it already. We have no issue of clients cancelling and reordering, but the potential hassle of transferring your data should be on you in that case.

    We'll just sell the server to someone else once reclaimed, but ultimately we lose money.

    name "many"? curious to know who are the ones who do it...

    I have never seen a single provider who will tell you "hey, you saw our offer for your service for a cheaper price, we a reducing your price".
