[Suggestion] Online Monthly LET meetup

HI LET Members

I am suggesting to have an online meetup and webinar every month to discuss about different aspects of industry and have a better footprint towards personal and professional growth of the community members.

Eventually meetup events can grow to become larger online events having virtual shows from guests and members to get better involvement in tech and business in general.

Based on different demographic location of members initial zonal meetups can be arranged in focused groups using:

The efforts of the members to make LET a better place to have from years is always appreciated and remembered.

Regards
Prashant

Hi Prashant! A few days ago I set up a Jitsi channel for LET. Please see https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/181588/low-end-talk-jitsi-videochat-channel for some discussion about Jitsi and the channel link.

Probably I can be on the Jitsi channel on Saturday October 1 at 8:30 pm UTC.

You're welcome to use the Jitsi channel too! Also, I'm delighted to meet up other times and other ways. So, please count me in on your group. Thanks!

    Tom

These public meetups record is to be kept online on public platforms to be watched at the convenience of the LET members and get involved in discussions.

To build and maintain these workflow requires advanced event management.

Of course! But still, it was a lot of fun to meet you, even for a moment, on the LEB Jitsi channel. The LEB Jitsi channel is just a quick Jitsi thing. I'm just a guy. I'm not pretending to be an "advanced event manager." Thanks for joining the Jitsi channel! I look forward to enjoying more advanced efforts! <3

    Hi @Not_Oles

    Jitsi Platform works good.
We can catch on other possiblities as well.

    I listed earlier relevant platforms.
We can add Skype group meetings to the list.

Why is there a need for online meetup? Don't we have these very forums for online chat? I thought The Cest Pit can be used to talk about absolutely anything.

What I would love to see is a real life event, possibly called LowEnd-Con, where people can gather around to exchange ideas and experiences regarding low-end market, and possibly display what they can achieve with very small resources. Who knows what startup project may rise from some newly met group of people having a free VPS or Raspberry Pi?

We found here detail and depth of discussion on various topics primarily related to server infrastructure industry.

@default said: I thought The Cest Pit can be used to talk about absolutely anything.

Thats a good thing to know.

Thats where we are moving towards inclusive LET members.
Suggestion is Online LET monthly meetups are a new begining for the members to participate in discussion every month live in person.

    Good to know your suggestions.

    HI @Cabbage

    Thanks for joining Meetup today.
Your suggestion to consider Matrix OpenSource Platform is awesome.

We discussed about that in text chat at jitsi meetup.
I refreshed the meeting and on rejoining forgot to start live stream.
After meetup when i checked the stream that thing become clear.

I was upgrading the network for better connectivity which is completed.

Most LET members do own their business rather than a job.
They are self reliant and sustainable.
