Basically default offers with more cores or storage.
They look tasty but I don't see a Deal Deal here.

  • RS Brenz offer is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Apart from their usual contract thing there are simply no cons.
2.5Gbps network, 120TB bandwidth (after which you get very usable 200Mbps, not usual 10Mbps throttle like other providers), ping even to china (CT/CM/CM) is below 200ms with no packet loss - they have peering with all of them, perfect uptime, their own control & billing panel with 2FA, dedicated resources with no bullshit excuses.

If someone wants VPS for real business then look no further.
Looks like shilling, but seriously there's not many companies that you can really trust in their compatence, they dont hike their prices over and over again and they will be in business for very long time.

I would agree if not for https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3477722#Comment_3477722 - can’t use them in prod with this daily IO stall

  • all "verpasst". anyway dc is not frankfurt am main and no ryzen 5950x. ;)

Very interesting. I've noticed this on one of my servers with them as well. It's an RS series, and sometimes I experience random pauses when the system doesn't respond in the terminal for several seconds.

In addition, I occasionally see these entries in my system log, but I admit I've sometimes seen it with other VPS providers as well:

BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s!

  • They're back in stock -- at least at the moment

I experienced it once a week ago. My VPS suddenly stopped responding for a few seconds. If it appears in the future I'll request a node change first. RS1000G9.5 with Eastern offer 320GB instead 160. Except that I never had any problem with them since Eastern when I created my account.

Can someone give information about VPS packages? I'm thinking about switch from Contabo to netcup 5 Eur offer but I can't see up-to-date YABS and CPU steal info.

  • Hm…. I’m thinking of canceling the VPS Lebkuchenherzerl. I don’t like the 12M commitment. Maybe on BlackFriday there are better deals?

My best guess is that there will be more deals, but not necessarily better deals. (Believe it or not, these deals were already pretty good)

The 12-month commitment has been pretty standard on netcup deals during recent years, and I don't expect this to change on BF

These offers already goes back under different names. E.G. Rs1000g9.5 appeared a few times with different name but the offer was always price and double SSD space.

Can you post an YABS about that VPS and check CPU steal?

  • Be aware of questionable billing practices.
