I don't know what Hetzner's rules are, but I'm not fucking risking it.

Not sure if Hetzner auction servers are worthy the price now. Due to the electricity fee spike in Germany, Hetzner auction servers increase price significantly. The cheapest ones almost reach the AX41 line. It makes sense, because the old servers use old cpus typically with higher ldp.

For hetzner? lol… they always respond like „the disk seems healthy, reallocation of sectors doesn’t matter“. Then the drive fail, you need to open a new one and then they will replace it.

I had such a thing with a new auctioned server. They then replaced it with the remark that they usually won’t do that. With a disk which were 2 years older and had more sector errors. That was it for me, with used hetzner servers…
