What are my options for a DMCA-free VPS?
Not sure if this is the right place, but first and for most... I am living in a country where my ISP is a huge jerk and starts blocking/throttling connections as they see fit and there's none else to go against, I guess you could call it China but much smaller and heavier when it comes to filtering out stuff from the internet.
I decided after a year or so full of testing out VPNs to just settle one and for all with a VPS just to circumvent the block my ISPs put in place. Torrenting here isn't exactly legal and you can use it for personal use but sometimes the content being downloaded through torrenting can land you in legal trouble (hint: - living in an Islamic based country) I was thinking that a VPS will both take my load off when it comes to internet blocks and torrenting but unfortunately, some reputable VPS providers are really strict and do not allow the use of torrents in their VPS servers. Hence I finally resorted to searching posts as old as 2015 but with how many options are there and how things have spanned out within 7-8 years I feel like it'd be best if I could consult here before going ahead purchasing a VPS.
Here are some of my preferences, I am mostly going to pay with cryptocurrency, bandwidth could be 1-2TB per month of usage or even unmetered. Most preferably somewhere in Asia or near the EU? what I noticed so far is that ping-wise EU countries like Netherlands & Germany give me good ping but the US & Eastern parts of the EU start making the ping worse from here but unfortunately I am not sure if VPS providers in EU will be happy receiving copyright notices or even torrenting stuff with their connection, I've tried out Moldova but ping was around 300ms, Iceland is at ~230ms but as long as it's under the 200ms range maybe if possible under 150ms it'd be great.
My main aim is so far to just set up my own VPN server with help of VPS and only proxy some applications for time being including qBittorent to it.
Comments
BuyVM.
OVH? As far as I'm aware they don't care about torrents, at least on their french server and are lenient on abuse
Malaysia I guess...? If able to use, it's better to buy a VPN like Nord instead, that's easier.
European countries have strict policy on copyright as well.
Most VPS providers does not allow torrenting.
Otherwise you can find a seedbox like ultra.cc instead.
Ping is not the index of network performance, idle bandwidth is.
I’d say get a commercial VPN in your case. But if you do want to set up your own VPN, get two servers: one with good connection (ping, not bandwidth) to your home for daily browsing, and another one for torrenting. Alexhost could be a choice, though there are some bad reviews.
https://alexhost.com/vps/
https://novogara.com
https://2x4.eu
https://incognet.io
All of them are DMCA ignored
2x4.eu domain parked. 2x4.ru still active. I guess it's the same company but .eu site was for English-speaking visitors?
hint: there is nothing called "islamic based country" The sentence does not make sense...
Hint2 : Islam/religion has nothing to do with copyright and restriction, I am not sure I understand how is that relevant to any internet blockage you have. Or even related to your country having retarded gov. China has blockage and is not a Muslim country. Censorship (except maybe for porn and some adult websites) have nothing to do with beliefs/religion .
Hint3: There is not 1 single Muslim country where Copyright is enforced. Not a single one. Not even countries that claim they do. Even if you're in Iran, don't tell me you will get in trouble for downloading an American movie, it does not make much sense... I even know people who worked around DMCA by using arvan instead of Cloudflare (maybe only if the country's gov has a VOD and you leak content from their own gov VOD service. In this particular context you will get in trouble.) Your ISP is a dick? yeah sure, but that is because your ISP either has no competition (gov owned company/infrastructure? Only 1 ISP in the country?) or is simply finding excuses to limit your usage for lake of capacity on their poor network.
That one, is probably illegal in your country.
Now if you want a good VPS, it will depend on your location, which you seem to be too afraid to disclose or name openly. But Malaysia is expensive, so IMHO it is a good option only if you're in that area , otherwise go with terrahost NL, or buyVM if Europe is fine.
If you feel adventurous go for a Russian provider lol, come on who will come after you for breaking US laws on Russian servers, it was never the case anyway, and with the current context, they will be happy if you break US laws on their servers.
Sorry my keyboard was wrote it bad. Is 2x4.ru
In Iran, probably get in more trouble that it's American than copyrighted.
Can provide you DMCA-Ignored VPS in Netherlands (offshore).
Stock is limited.
For plans: https://servzen.com/openvz-vps.html
do you offer DMCA ignored storage plans ?
Yes we are but currently we have very limited stock right now.
Buy one near your location for vpn.
One in EU for torrenting.
Apart from providers mentioned above, online.net doesn't seem to care copyright notice. Cause onlyfans once sent one to cloudflare and cf said they forwarded to host provider, but I didn't hear a thing from online.net.
Possibly scaleway / online.net as well?
I have had those private ISO torrents on BuyVM since years now. No problems ever.
Canada has notice and notice. As long as you're not taken to court you should be fine.

Just use a vpn dude. Any good vpn in the market should do the job. Some even allow fast torrent downloads and seeds.
all vps are out of stock
then take BuyVM while it's still available

Some VPN providers (Njalla, also Frootvpn on their Stockholm servers) will give you public IP addresses and allow all incoming ports. So it is possible to host a website on the VPN IP.
Possibly you will need to create some automation to detect if the VPN tunnel reconnects and your IP address changes. Sometimes I have found it helpful to hardcode the IP of the VPN server in the config, otherwise it can pick a different server by round-robin DNS when the VPN reconnects.
Hello,
Yep, they all are out of stock.
Please DM me your purpose of using server, we may have space for 2 or 3 VPS left.
Thanks
Liteserver is in the Netherland and my VPS has been torrenting all kinds of movies for years. You might consider setting up a seedbox in there too because it makes things far more convenient if you ever decide to use private trackers.
Far is I know, there are a several of them that ignore dmca.
Some are pretty good, others are not very good specially with network it really depends on your budget and your location you want. Also your content is quite important to you choose some provider.
you need to check your requirements and budget limit and which content we are talking about legal / illegal ISOs?
I have tested some of them, several allows torrent trackers, private torrent websites, reverse proxys, File Hosting and torrenting, check them and let your mind decide. Budget will be vary.

Some of them allow most of you are looking for, keep a eye in their TOS / AUP / Privacy Policy then you are ready to go?
Do they allow public trackers ?
@jmaxwell Yup
I believe BUYVM offers DCMA-free VPS on luxembourg location only?
Oh I see they had some great storage offers in the past, will wait for next promo.
Yes, because BuyVM is not stupid as all. To allow that in US location.. Luxembourg seems to look fine. But of course Francisco can refuse to do so.
