I tried Proton and Windscribe and VPN Gate, all of which seem to solve my use case. Please check the thread before replying.

for anyone who comes across this,

1. Indian ISPs are stupid and can barely censor anything, You don't need a VPN to unblock stuff. For the 2 major ISPs here (Jio & Airtel), Most times you can get access to sites you couldn't access just by telling them that your line doesn't work or anything that makes them replace the whole line.

2. If some site or service doesn't load, try to change your IP. I know few subnets of Jio and Airtel are blocked by Rockstar games so if you get unlucky you can simply turn off the router at night (or for 4hrs rly) and then your IP should change and you'll be good.

3. ProtonVPN is the best VPN, even better than others. I'm not sure exactly why but I can only guess it has to do with routing. I've also been able to use netflix with proton.

4. If you rly rly need a VPS, you can deliver newspapers for ~4k INR/mo which is more than enough for a vps + movies + date with your gf/anyone

That's all, There's a solution for basically everything... You can also use Tor to watch pornhub btw

I had a real big talk with the area manager about the shitass censorship, they said its just that sometimes their AI based Censorship System (lmao i dont even think that they use AI for that and just a simple wildcard blocklist) fucks up and blocks things up, then theres our government. So after like 1 hour of screaming on the area manager, I finally got literally everything unblocked (except pornhub which is sad). So yeah, quarrel with your ISPs area manager.

yeah thats a thing, they are shit at routing (also in security, sftp.telematics.jio.com contains literally thousands of JioFiberVoice Logs. Hint: SFTP, User is jfv)
