I will check it again later. We are using SSD CacheCade technology on our storage vps, so yes that is possible :)

  • Any chance for nvme box with same config(may be with a bit higher price)?

Sorry, we don’t have nvme KVM servers at this time :)

It shouldn’t be.. I will post a new yabs soon :)

  • Nice offer! Good luck with sales, mate :)

I just got a VPS and can confirm so I opened a ticket. Hopefully it can be improved with some tweaks to the configuration.

  • Wow Marco from support was very quick at responding and redeploying my server on another node and the storage looks a lot better now. Will post some benchmarks in a minute.

  • seems IO ok now, but network speed only 200Mbps? :p

In my case it's enough since it's just for my blog basically and the CPU is pretty fast

I'm a long way from Germany and your blog loads very fast for me. :)
If I did not know the location I would think it was much closer.

EDIT: What backend are you using for the blog?

My (Rails) blogging app does a lot of aggressive caching so it's typically fast, but I am seeing some nice difference anyway compared to Hetzner's cx21 which I was using before.

I use a CDN (Cloudflare) for the assets, but the pages come straight from the VPS (I use memcached for caching there)

good offer, but should non-EU people pay tax? very annoying.

  • @vitobotta I thought that you really like the Hetzner K3s. Do you use k3s on these as well?

I love Hetzner, and k3s. I even built a tool to create clusters in Hetzner Cloud (https://github.com/vitobotta/hetzner-k3s). But I have too many expenses at the moment so I am trying to reduce cost. So for my blog a small and cheap virtual server with Dokku is fine for now.

Not in our Opinion. Our business guarantees everyone the same price.. We got a whole registrations from "non-EU Members" which are EU members in reality to avoid the tax. So the price for non-eu coutries are the same as for EU countries. On the invoice we don't print tax for non EU countries.

We can increase the bandwith if you have a valid reason for that ;) just contact the support :)

Yes, we currently have problems with one of our Host-System. But no problem.. we got enough Threadripper-Systems left :D

Not sure I understand what that means... What you would forward in tax for EU customers you just pocket yourself for non-EU customers?

No, this is filling the Gap between Countries with higher Tax than Germany. We're providing everyone the same price. This is the fairest way in our opinion.

  • Spring special is a good deal, but the KVM storage is a bit meh, too much RAM and pricey, you get more somewhere else.

We've got a little problems with a host-system currently. Please feel free to open a ticket that we can relocate you to another System :)

that's not fair. Customers will assume that you will get an additional 19% profit from each sale from non-EU people, and they will think hard to buy.

I am sorry to hear, but this is our standard. Our prices on the website are the prices for all our customers.
