Your Black Friday - Limited Edition KS-LE network uploads and downloads are both 100mbps?

xoyoxoyo Member

I'm having problems with my Black Friday - Limited Edition KS-LE network, I don't know if yours is experiencing the same problem.

One of mine is located in the BHS3 server room with a download speed of 1Gbps and a upload speed of 100Mbps.

Another one is located in BHS6, its download speed is suddenly limited to 100mbps, after asking customer service he said this is normal, I do not understand :/

I tried to enter rescue mode to test and the speed limit still exists! Both machines were tested for download speed with the same download address, Only the machines located in BHS6 have their download and upload speed limited to 100Mbps. This was not the case when I first had it.

Has this happened to any of you?

  • It IS supposed to be 100. You just got lucky earlier.

  • Contact support and tell them you're getting the product as advertised.

  • Happened same to me. My KS - LE is in BHS 6.untill 2 days ago server is 1gbps duplex. Now upload is less than 10mbps. Didn't opened a ticket because i don't wanted to waste my luck. Thought it was a temporary issue. But j guess my luck was over.

Only thing that's maddening here are your expectations. Are you mad they are giving you what you paid for?

What part of 100Mbps do you not understand? Let me know if you need more arrows.

I suspect they monitor link speed and if the product goes over the advertised speed, I guess they correct it.

Interesting would be, for people that ain't Gigabitting that link and stay below, if they keep the gigabit link and can lets say use 200Mbit constant fine?

Yeah the only bottleneck is their network speed. In KS-LE all fine except the network.

Your arrow is pointing to the winter special price package and configuration, mine is Black Friday KS-LE. event Information links: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/175306/kimsufi-black-friday-limited-edition-ks-le/p1

Basically all of the people in the discussion tested with download speeds of 1Gbps and upload speeds of 100Mbps without any disagreement. If this speed is explicitly prohibited, why didn't kimsufi block it immediately?

    Special Edition Black Friday
    KS-LE Server

    E5-1620v2
    4 c/8 t @3.7GHz
    32GB DDR3 1,333MHz
    2x 2TB softRAID
    100Mbps
    €14.99 ex. VAT/month + 10€ setup

    Available in FR/CA datacenter

surely you cant be expecting to pull at 1gbps with EUR 14,99

  • And this restriction happened when I just paid my three month renewal, which is the point that pisses me off so much!

  • If you get 100 Mbps as stated, that is good. Isn't it?

So fucking dense. All KS products are supposed to be 100Mbps.

The only thing that matters to me when it comes to services is that I get what the label on the tin says.

I have both a BF KS-LE and a Winter Sale KS-LE with 100Mbps up, do you see me complaining?

In any case, you can't do anything about it but leave. Suck KimSufi's fat fucking 100Mbps dong.

And this restriction happened when I just paid my three month renewal, which is the point that pisses me off so much!

    Why are you so mad?

What's wrong for them to provide you with exact advertised services?

If you dont receive 100mbps, sure feel free to ticket on LET and the support will look into the same. If you are lucky, your bandwidth will be doubled for the duration of your server.

You cannot be entitled to something which may be a temporary glitch on the provider side. If you feel otherwise, feel free to sue the provider for providing the services as per the original order specs.

Why didn't you complain to support if you didnt get your services as expected with 1gig down? Aka why the extra speed?

If the bandwidth lots favor you, it will be restored back in no time with even 10gigbit speed.

It may be temporary not sure. In my case also same. Thinking that may be a rack related issue. Perhaps a noisy neighbour.

    iperf3 Network Speed Tests (IPv4):

Provider | Location (Link) | Send Speed | Recv Speed
    | | |
    Clouvider | London, UK (10G) | 36.5 Mbits/sec | 173 Mbits/sec
    Online.net | Paris, FR (10G) | 35.4 Mbits/sec | 161 Mbits/sec

    Iveloz Telecom | Sao Paulo, BR (2G) | 18.5 Mbits/sec | 331 Mbits/

I initiated a support work order and have communicated a lot with customer service, but all I get is for me to perform a self-check, but still get this limitation in rescue mode.

So fucking dense. All KS products are supposed to be 100Mbps.

Maybe it doesn't matter to you. :)

If the bandwidth is matter that much for you. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ORDERING A SERVER WITH 100Mbps.

@xoyo check if you have a 100 Mbit network link as well.
    apt-get install ethtool
    ethtool eth0

    In other news today, 100 = 100

I havent been a member for very long on this board but I also haven't been so annoyed by a post. Do you really not understand that you're being an absolute ass hat?
