Does anyone know if you requested for IP to be moved would they re-create the instance? Can I continue setting up my new VM in the meantime?

I'm in the belief that empathy is one of the easiest and cheapest services they could provide.

I have a VPS on this node. Don't just check accessibility remotely, also check the console. My /etc/fstab was corrupted. Recreating that made the VPS accessible. So far it looks like there's a significant amount of corruption in the files (maybe >1%), but rsync to the new server and then re-uploading that 1% saves a significant amount of upload time.

So I finally got access to the broken VM with a rescue system installed.
FS was significantly corrupted but I was luckily able to recover the important config files using testdisk.
