    it does not worth it.

you should cancel it within 14 days

What aspect makes it not worth it?

Not sure if the HDD IO speeds are the norm but they seem really low compared to the storage vps I mentioned. Are these enterprise HDDs?

Haha it’s my first hetzner server I’ve
Heard only good stuff so far, why are they bad?

What is the provider and location?

    Germany, it’s a hetzner

    So €28

    I paid more actually

Do you mean the setup fee? Because I can see the exact same specs for 23€

There’s nothing wrong with Hetzner, the only things people complain about are the cancellation terms because they’re not standard, and the seizing of hard drives.

Check the bar at the top to see if tax (VAT) is being added

Ah I’m VAT exempt. Maybe that’s why

  • At hetzner, you can get better spec with similar price

  • Thanks for the feedback guys, are we saying I should cancel and keep looking for another?

When comparing this to the SYS-2 am I wrong to say this performs better? It’s a similar price

Wait what? Do they seize HDDs from people?

Hetzer was great on my experience, although their SB I had was very cheap I unfortunately could not afford it.

  • I think the popular consensus is that the server, on the whole is fine, but the hard drives are slow (I agree). It's not a bad deal, but it's not a great deal either.

What are you planning to do with it?

  • Brother, as others have said it really depends on what you want to use it for.

If you have lots of money and you don’t mind idling, sure, keep it. It’ll be fine.

If you want to rum a website on it, you can probably do it a lot cheaper and it’s not the most cost effective solution.

If you want to fill it with a lot of hardcore pornography, it is a good choice unless you are sharing the pornography, because if Hetzner find out they will steal the porn and kick you out.

I forget who’s disks they handed over to the authorities, they seemed to do it without much of a fight, IIRC. It was a while back, some providers moved out of Hetzner over it.

Just got news from hetzner support

The low HDD speed could because of the re-syncing RAID. Please wait until the sync has been finished.

I'm pretty sure it was NexusBytes, can't find the thread confirming it though.

    I reckon you’re spot-on there, fella.
