Wanted to echo this. Been with @UltraVPS for years - has been great with no issues at all.
That's automated. You just need to place an order.
If anyone bought an SSD-Special in the UK or Germany do you mind sharing the YABS result?
NVME-Special-0 sharing the YABS result?
I'm also interested in that, specifically the cpu results.
cpu don’t know AMD or Intel
NVME-Special-0 in Duesseldorf:
Performance is not as good as Storage-Special-1 above
SSD-Special-1 in Duesseldorf:
SSD performance is better than NVMe?
NVME-Special-0 performance is not good at all. Anything less than 100 M/s for 4k and 1GB/s for 1m is not satisfactory. Correct? Most likely, the NVMe should be an old one...
Totally imposible to do an order. I did it twice unsuccessfully.... was denied but they don't provide me any reason.
Congrats on your first post since November 2012. (Incredible!)
They don't need to give you an exact reason
You could just use the boot image option and choose the OS of your choice. In my case I chose Debian 11 and via VNC could just setup LVM and add both of the disks to a single volume group and create a logical volume, then format it as EXT-4 and set the mountpoint as / (root file system), now you'll have one partition for all.
I'm just sharing my experience. It's like to do an offer for selected users in a public forum.
Thanks for your (no) help.
Damn. I think I’ll just renew my 500GB storage deal with my existing provider from a previous BF.
If this post’s storage deal is to be any indicator then things don’t look very encouraging for this BF.
Hi, do you ignore DMCA?
It's seldom the case that a provider will give you an exact reason why they reject you, so UltraVPS.eu aren't exceptional in this respect.
There are obvious things that one can/should do such as to give accurate personal information (name, address, etc.), to use one's residential connection when ordering, but sometimes despite this, one is rejected. (It's happened to me more than once before.)
In some cases, one can ask a provider to manually review one's case and they're willing to do so, but the final verdict may still be "reject", in which one would do best to simply move on. (Perhaps @UltraVPS would be willing to manually review your case.)
We don't tolerate copyright infringements if that's what you mean.
Thanks! I tried to resolve it directly with them without success.
It's true that in my case use different mails (payment, management, register, etc) and locations (office, family, mine), but I never had issues with that. But without any "clue" I won't know what is happening.
only PayPal payment? i need Card
Their datacenter Evoswitch was a Dutch company so they can ignore DMCA.
But now it is a subsidiary of US company IronMountain, so FYI...
If they keep providing clues, some people with bad intent will be able to get in and evade whatever checks they have in place.
Totally agree, but I think that some times this procedures don't work "right", and for that I tried to solve it directly with them without success
I have two boxes from UltraVPS, one 1-year and one 2-year old. They are the best I have ever used. The boxes are responsive and consistently perform well. If you think you may need one VPS later, get one now.
Thanks for that feedback @Stryp - I'm on the fence about getting two new smaller instances, as I don't really need them now, but likely will early/mid 2022, so it's great to hear some much positive feedback about this provider. Any chance your instances might be in the UK? I'm curious to see a YABS output from that location as well, UltraVPS has kindly already posted the DE output earlier in this thread. Thanks.
anyone can show a yabs of NVME-Special-1 in Amsterdam ?
Sorry, can't help you there. Both of mine are DE-based.
Also, if you sometimes need more RAM, just add some swap from the disks. That is how I could run a small Minecraft server for friends with 10GB RAM even when the VPS only had 4 GB physical.
