Hello. Great forums and very helpful! I signed up to ask about a specific need.
128MB RAM is fine. Need it to run the smallest tiniest linux distro, maybe Alpine? It will be fully locked down, only 53 open, secured, hardened, and for name resolution as a bind slave for a primary master DNS server. For this reason, it needs to be small, cheap, tiny. I don't need any resources really. One ipv4 required. Has to be reliable. Need it to last many years and be stable.
Anyone who can offer me a cheap small tiny instance for running a bind9 slave? Thanks a lot folks!

If you really want it to last many years, a good starting point would be to buy from a stable company which has existed for some years at least, has a solid business continuity plan and owns their resources.
Of course that is incompatible with getting "the cheapest VPS".

I think you should probably just wait till BlackFriday. Although if you're looking for something very stable and reliable, then BuyVM ( @Francisco ) is your best option. Their cheapest plan is $2.5/mo and gets you 512MB Memory which should enough for your use.
If not, then you could try going to Gullo ( @Cam ) or @webhorizon
I'm an active user on all three and I haven't had any issues with said providers so far.

I saw them on the https://lowendstock.com/deals/ the first reply to this post. 6.60/yr deals. And that's roughly 50 cents a month. I mean. Come on. That's just ridiculously cheap. Wow. And it's not hard to move a simple slave dns server, ever year even, just change the IP on the GLUE and on the master bind server. And it's just going to be my third bind server and second slave (1 master + 2 slaves, as recommended by the RFC). $50c for my own DNS slave every month? My very own DNS server for all my domains and I don't have to deal with control panels and APIs. Just bind9 configs. And not much to do on the slave, AXFR zone transfers are automatic from the master.
And someone said something about even cheaper. Wow. I can't imagine how people could even make money off that. That's just inane.

EDIT: One thing to keep in mind is it is OpenVZ 6 so OS selection is limited and most of them are EOL.
