Hello there,
All refunds should have been issued by now, any issues please bother us at [email protected]
I had ordered such a service from hosterlabs, which I know is basically impossible with other providers, but it still worked fine as my test environment for a few months (mostly idle for some reason) until it was shut down in August.
There was a long wait for a refund (from the beginning of August), but it was eventually received,
Although I was disappointed that the service was closed early, at least I had a good ending.
Got my refund from Paypal
I am sorry to see Hosterlabs go. I picked up 3 of their IPv6-only VPSs a while back and have been very happy with the service. I used them for some project management and collaboration software for a small team, proxied to IPv4 with Nginx on another machine I have. The uptime has been very good, and I didn't need or expect (or test for) high performance. I think the 10 day warning is a bit small, but at least they did give warning, and have chimed in here to clarify their reason for closing down and the refund process.
BTW, I will not be requesting a refund, since I got 10 out of the 12 months of service for which I paid, and it was only $8 for 2 1GB servers and $8 for a 2GB server.
The way they went about it is unprofessional, and the response from their support people has been half as*ed. Way to lose trust again, after the data breach earlier this year.
Does anyone know what form of a legal entity they are?
Agreed, their support has been ...absent, to say the least.
They are an LLC, as per this page:
https://legal.hosterlabs.net/legal/Privacy-Policy
And as per this:
https://www.bizapedia.com/de/hosterlabs-llc.html
Delaware company, so likely only the LLC is US based, but not the ownership.
wow for sure we can't compete here
will mostly restock our flying fish offers which is 4$/m paid yearly, they come with either unlimited 100mbps or 1gbps with limit
will try to do it tomorrow
sent the refund req with transaction details in Aug when getting the official info email, but didn't get further reply.
just sent another req email, hoping the issue could be solved.
