What could EDIS support do about it? Obviously there is some breakage in the peering between the ISPs inside Iceland. They should fix it, eventually.
Just communicate what the current status of the overall network situation is, based on what they know. I didn't want to bug support again if emilv had an update. If I were running a service and paying a provider for connectivity, I would be all over trying to figure out what was happening even if I couldn't directly fix it. On 12/1 they reported some equipment issues:

It hasn't been updated as of this post, but per a support request I submitted, that particular issue was fixed. Last night I was only able to get about 3MB/s downstream and 119kB/s upstream, consistently, for about 4 hours. William has stated that is likely due to the 100Mbit shared connection and more usage. Unfortunately, that sort of speed wasn't going to work for me so I ended up canceling the service.
The issue is we don't know any more - Thor/Advania is not very communicative on this.
