All good, it's a valid concern
We are actually quite stable, and healthy. We continue to expand, rather than contract. It is always important to backup your files, regardless of where you host, and it's always good to think ahead. So good thing you're asking - and thinking on this, cause as the end of the day, you never know when companies decide to close up shop, or exit.
We aren't going anywhere, this is my only "job" - whereby we have real staff onsite, real office space, and have done very very well as a company. We all share an equal interest in our customers and have families to provide for.
I personally do have other investments and live a pretty good life, as a result of hard work. So giving back is part of what we're committed to, whether that may be to our local community, and or online hosting communities. We believe the community deserves freebies, awesome deals, along with awesome support. I'd say you can begin to worry when my activity drops, and my commitment to customer service disappears, and when we slow down our growth. This of course won't happen, but those are some indicators to look for. We have a mindset of expansion, giving back, listening to community feedback, and giving the community what they crave.
On a further positive note, based on the community feedback/reviews, engagement and more that we're delivering what is wanted/needed. We take our business serious, and hope to be your partner for years to come.

Honestly it is fine if a company closes its doors, just ensure their customers are well taken cared off, like give them time to move their files to another host. But a sudden closure without even a warning would not be ideal.
Before BF I really felt secured with racknerd, with the good service and support and jetbackup saved my bacon a few times, but during BF I was a bit skeptical, dont get me wrong I joined a lot of the give aways and bought flash deals since I really liked the service, but giving away shit tons of free stuff made me worry. Fast foward today, youre still here giving away shit tons of free stuff which has never been seen before, made me really worried.
Sure you can mimic google and amazon's marketing strategy of giving away shit tons too, but those are multibillion dollar companies, giving away a few million in trial credits aint gonna dent their operations.
Enron had employees, real office space, and customers who believed in them. So I dont think thats a valid assurance.
Good on you for having a good life, not all of us can say that. Giving back tho with shit tons of free stuff, is much more close to madness. I dont see the bigger guys give away that much. And again, activity cant really be a basis if you would just suddenly go away, lets have @HostDoc explain.
But yeah sure, I'll shut up about this after this, just want to point out my concern as someone who actually uses the service and I do hope and pray racknerd last for years as so far I dont have a complain aside from this madness. Just now Im gonna try my best to add some off-site/off-racknerd backup to protect myself.
More power to racknerd!
