The VPS deals are misleading. On US OVH without BF deal, 12m commit for 8gb vps is: $21.16/m (after 8% discount). On Canada OVH with the BF deal, 12m commit for 8gb is: $25.39 (after 15% discount). How exactly is this a great BF deal?

You are comparing USD$ to CAD$.

    https://www.ovhcloud.com/en/vps/

here world english $ version of OVHcloud. its 19,47 USD$

I remind you that OVH US is a separated brand, even if we have some common offers.

  • Then there is a saving of $1.69/m which still doesnt look good for a once in a year BF deal.

I get your point, its understandable for a US customer.

Yea, tell me about it. Literally people are expecting close to free shit and when they don't get it "Hurr durr OVH sucks".

  • Yea, tell me about it. Literally people are expecting close to free shit and when they don't get it "Hurr durr OVH sucks".

Free? Expecting a discount on ADV/Infra series is far from "free shit". Also I don't recall seeing "OVH sucks", it's mostly disappointment.

  • So you disappointed yourself while creating expectations for yourself. Well played.

  • Asking for a discount on ADV/INFRA is pointless. Those are their best selling ranges, the only thing that will happen is current customers will drop full price ADV/INFRA and switch to discounted ones. Why would OVH want that to happen?

The storage range is overpriced and the RISE is limited to 500mbit bandwidth, so I doubt these generate any sales for them at list price. So those are the ones that go on sale. OVH's largest storage server at 72TB storage costs 2.5euro/TB, hetzner's 100TB storage server costs 1.59euro/TB. No sane person would choose OVH over Hetzner unless you get Ddos'd all day.

Even then the OVH discounts are NOT RECURRING, so you will eventually go back to paying the overcharged prices, keep that in mind before signing a contract with OVH.

Sorry, but that is the WORST bullshit Black Friday offers in 5 years of history.

I would say the SYS-BF-1 server for 32 USD (recurring) is a pretty decent offer, no ?

Very disappointing. These offers are even worse than the recent offers running last month and the "Back To Work" ones running several months ago.

You may want to take a look at your offers again, or do you really offer a storage server with 1 MBit/s network speed?

Thank you for letting us know! looks like a mistake on the german website only, we will fix it. I confirm these servers are 1Gbps, not 1Mbps (-:

What is meant by people expecting free shit? Last year they gave 50% off for the year so obliviously there is expectation of similar this yr too but they only gave 50% off for 1 month this time which is a huge difference.

Sorry, but that is the WORST bullshit Black Friday offers in 5 years of history.

I totally expected at least the Infra-3 series to be 50% off or something like that.

Really really disappointed. Long paid customer looking for alternatives now, cause feeling trolled.

Expecting large discounts every year is crazy. I'm sure they will be happy for you to cancel your services and go elsewhere. Of course you wont because you are greedy and got discounts from prior years and you will keep them
