    I found that you can get the 2GB with 4 cores it comes to $27.58 - which is actually 40 cents cheaper and more resources than the 1GB with the 4 core upgrade (which comes to $27.98) (2GB instead of 1GB RAM, 35GB instead of 17GB for the storage, and 5TB instead of 3TB bandwidth)

    Now THAT is a hard to beat deal - I have a feeling dustin fucked up there lol :)

    Haha yeah I like to pride myself on my ability to find a good deal, and knowing when to snap it up or leave it is part of the thrill. I definitely stocked up, and I'm super pleased that even though all my services except I think 2 are in the same location, I have some kind of redundancy.

    They're all automatically provisioned on separate nodes (where possible I imagine) which, without stealing someone's slogan distastfully, is my idea of "infrastructure stability" at a price that makes me feel like I pulled your pants down without buying you dinner.

    I agree this thread has been a blast, thank you to everyone who contributed. We put the promo out of stock exactly at 9 PM PST. Though you won't believe how many people went crazy ordering as much as possible within the last few hrs. Some folks thought placing orders, not paying for some would be a good way to secure some of these insane promos until they were ready for more.

    We put stock -100, and then by the time we canceled unpaid/pending orders, WHMCS added some "stock" so we had to disable once more.

    The good news is that many were able to obtain the deal. And we'll have something special next week.

    Oh, I believe there would have been many people rushing to get them at the last moment, and it doesn't surprise me at all that people tried to make "placeholder orders" and come back later to claim it. Good on you for cancelling them btw :)
