You pay €3/mo for 3G and have these speeds at home?! Looking for a room mate? haha

Yes, I recently upgraded. It was 100 mbps best effort before and was reaching 70 for some 12 $, now I upgraded to 1000 mbps and runs like that for 15 $. Unlimited traffic.
It includes unlimited 3g (stick) which works 2-3 mbps.
My phone has also unlimited including tethering for 2 Eur+VAT (2.48) but that is the whole subscription, not only for internet, includes only unlimited calls in the network, but prices for calls are decent. Net access on the phone is supposed to slow down after the first 5 GB but havent seen this behaviour in the wild.

Romania is coming back to take over Singapore.
However, there is one thing to wire a small country and completely another thing to wire a medium one, Romania is 334 times bigger with roughly half the population rural.

    First place on quality, though:

First, WeLoveServers Orlando, FL Node (bear in mind, I had to select the server by hand as the geolocation was messing around - I don't know FL at all so probs wasn't the closest server but meh):

And, amazingly, Host1Free (I'm guessing they forgot the 10Mbps restriction on mine somehow!? And I get results like this every time so I don't think 'twas a one-off error):

Was that directly from the server or through a tunnel elsewhere? That's atrocious.

it direct connection, azure has connection limit and that using small instance.

    | VM Size | Bandwidth | | ------------- |:-------------:| | Extra Small | 5 (Mbps) | | Small | 100 (Mbps) | | Medium | 200 (Mbps) | | Large | 400 (Mbps) | | Extra Large | 800 (Mbps) |

Even with a bandwidth limit, a ping of 200+ms is absolutely insane.

EDIT: That, and the download/upload ratio approaches DSL levels...

    Reliablesite.net

Though none of the servers there are cheap. They're 'decent' prices for the US.

I've got half a dozen servers with online.net & a couple with Hetzner. Only a few places in the US can come close to their prices & whenever I've checked they've been out of stock (datashack and wholesaleinternet come to mind, wholesaleinternet w/ VPS 'coming soon').

ed: oh, i just saw the datashack results. nice

  • In alphabetical order:

    BlueVM (Zurich)

    BuyVM Choopa

    HighSpeedWeb (Los Angeles)

    Hostigation (Charlotte)

    OVerZold Milan

    Prometeus Dallas

And for kicks, an OVH BHS PE1 dedi:

  • ramnode openvz ssd cached 256MB CVZ-E5 - Atlanta

  • DelimiterVPS Dual X5150, 16GB RAM, 500GB Disk Dedicated Server $20/month

My dedicated with @VaporNode and @fizzyjoe908 still seems a bit low for gigabit but I bet it's the speedtest server that's having an issue.
