  • I have KVM plans with MCH in both Canada and NC, and can safely say that this is one of the most-reliable providers I've dealt with in a long time. Support is responsive and understanding, and always keeps you in the loop.

That 4GB deal is hands-down unbeatable!

    Thanked by 1MCHPhil
  • Thank you amhoab!

Just a note, these deals are limited. Once the stock is sold out... They are done.

  • Maxmin error for me, with other provider i send ID and visa card, snapshot of Bank online, they allow my ivoice when ticket create. However, MCH be careful, he close my ticket.

  • Is it possible to install Windows on your KVM VPS (by providing a license and an iso) ?

  • do you offer windows ISO if I bring my license? I want to move from current provider.

arwww... i paid 7.50$ for 128MB, upgrade possible?

  • @MChPhil
Please check ticket #311502, I send you my master card with snapshot_bank_online_USA

According to this topic, MyCustomHosting allowed Windows if you bring a valid license and if the VPS has 1 GB of RAM.

    So, Is Windows Server 2003 R2 allowed ? I have a Server 2008 R2 license too, but i prefer Server 2K3.
Can I install Windows on 512 Mo VPS (+ 512 Mo swap) (2008 R2 runs over but not very smoothly) ?

  • This is an interesting offer, but the routing kinda sucks from Atlantic Canada for me.

Yes, this is the only way. We do not currently provide licensing for windows.

With the way KVM works, I cannot upgrade easily. Open a ticket and we will discuss options!

To keep CPU abuse low, we only allow windows with at least 1GB RAM.

Please open a ticket with VPS requirements and I will work with you on getting you a good deal on 128MB RAM.

  • Can I install OpenVZ on LET-NOV-4096MB-100GB-2000GB? Would this be sufficient justification to get 4 IPv4 addresses?

    Yes!

  • You got a client! :)

  • The servers in Canada are DDoS protected, right?

  • I signed up with Phil not long ago and I can say so far his service has been excellent. Good enough to make me purchase one of these special offers :) The only thing I can say is make sure you read your welcome email in it's entirety as the KVM network setup is a bit different then what most of us are used to.

    Thanked by 1MCHPhil

I wouldn't advertise them that way, because it IS OVH DDoS protection :P But, yes.

  • @MCHPhil is it possible to stack 2 LET-NOV-1024MB-30GB-1000GB plans instead of buying the LET-NOV-2048MB-50GB-1000GB it seems that way I could get a better price and more HD space.

Also, I have a windows 7 pro license that came with my dell desktop that I'm not using (using Manjaro Linux), can I use it on the VPS?

    Thanks.

My understanding is Windows 7 is a desktop OS and not able to be licensed for server usage, please correct me if I'm wrong. With that understanding, Windows 7 would not be allowed. I could stack two into one VPS. Place order and before paying open a ticket and I'll adjust everything.

  • @MCHPhil actually I want to use the VM as a personal desktop, not as a server. For some things I need to do in Windows (mainly Word and Visio files, and some Visual Studio Development (mostly fast fixing bugs))

  • SSH doesn't work and apt-get update fails at 60%. :(

The fact being it is still being used as a server. Same reason you can't use XP in a VM.

    @lukasubo said:

Not much I could do... You don't open a ticket about issue. The SSH issue is probably because you didn't read the entire welcome email. But alas I can only speculate because you haven't even opened a ticket..

  • Is it possible to get these plans in other locations?

  • Interesting, what are you node specs?

Pretty sure, forever. Link me to microsoft saying it is allowed if I am wrong.

Please have patience, your ticket wasn't in the system for more than 2 hours and your posting on forums. This is budget service, if a response doesn't come quickly enough maybe budget service isn't right for you.

  • Dam putting down the customer! How about this I will get to it as soon as possible! Sounds alot better

I guess putting down a customer and making sure I set real expectations are one in the same?
