    Thanks

Are you referring to the current stock or in the future? The dedicated thread option has been unavailable since the second round of stock was announced.

They will be available once finished all orders and see if there is more to take. Unfortunately to remove it from old orders i have to removed it while setting new orders as well.

Thumbs up to the LetBox crew - I pre-ordered the second batch, then changed my mind a few days after - because I already have too many idling VPSes - and they gave me a refund within minutes!

    Definitely impressed.

The services wasn’t active yet so no point to keep the money.

  • Just paid my renewal for another month. That for me is a sign of a good deal. Curious, is it possible to switch to a yearly after a few months or is that a bit cheeky?

There's no price break for annual, so may as well as stay monthly.

So if a service is paid annually, the price showing on up/dowgrades page are also yearly and not monthly?

Edit: just checked, looks like pricing will follow monthly or annual pricing of server.

So if you wanted to upgrade RAM, it's cheaper upgrade monthly. If you want to upgrade anything else, better to be annual.

$20, $30, $60 for two annual plans and the expected $1, $2, $3 for monthly server. So yeah, if 8GB was an option for $20, I'd have done annual as well. And probably bought more. So sad I didn't get that option.

    Should I open a ticket?

Edit: to clarify, the two annual plans were previous 500GB and 1TB deals, if the special RAM upgrade pricing is only for this promo plan, that would explain the higher upgrade prices (and tells me I really should move to 3TB and more RAM). So now I think this is the reason, the RAM pricing is just for this promo plan and not previous deals.

  • Are you planning to add more stock? Been thinking about setting up a plex server and this seems great.

    private tracker

this question gets asked and probably answered from time to time ... just not sure if it has come up in this particular thread yet

assuming you'll be seeding linux ISOs and nothing that generates takedown notices - and not hammering cpu and i/o 24/7 - then seems unlikely @key900 would have any reason to be concerned. Hopefully someone will clarify if I'm misunderstanding anything.

Letbox TOS seems fairly straightforward and does not specifically prohibit torrents: https://letbox.com/page/tos

Put it this way - the provider isn't going to say "Hey everyone, go nuts torrenting!"

If you'd like some anecdotal evidence to help with your question, I personally have been successful in downloading torrents using this service. I haven't seeded a byte, and that could be the key to my success. YMMV.

EDIT: I have found with some other providers that even if you don't upload a single byte, they still kick your ass for torrenting, which is completely fair enough. I would compare it to legalized vs decriminalized. Our romanian friend is "legalized" and everyone else is "decriminalized". Some providers are like the judge/jury/executioner though in this analogy.
