Yep, it's just once per account - doesn't have to be your first payment.

Also don't forget that RN was hacked by Robert Clarke who was a LET member (not sure if he is still active again). Instead of informing directly testing up exploit to ruin business doesn't sound well.

When you can't beat em, hack em?

The new panel and setup is nice when I tried it out. I might move my little monitoring server from the normal plan to it.

If I had a vps running at ramnode when they got hit and it's still using their generated password... does that mean my vps may have been compromised during the past six years?

Yes. This is why you don't use companies that are a one man show.

Sounds like you put your money into QuadrigaCX.

    I hate those benches.

  • Did anyone get Windows working? Or do the drivers need integrating first?

Windows works with or without Virtio, but may require a few extra steps. Check out this FAQ link

  • Hi @Nick_A , thrilled to see this offering! Do any of the hourly billed offerings have nested KVM support enabled, i.e. allow running qemu with the -enable-kvm option?

Hi Nick, is there any benchmark result of the HDD for MKVM 512MB?
Still confuse on using MKVM or SKVM, planning to do some small hosting for friends, yet 10 GB SSD seems a bit small. :)

    Thanks! They do not.

I don't have one handy but it only costs $0.01 to briefly spin one up and compare.

  • Ah you mean I can spin up and close it again? It only count to the hour it was ON?

to be perfectly clear about what to expect with regard to charges - you'll need to (optionally) make a snapshot and then be sure to delete the instance in order to not be charged for the time it is "off".

    https://clientarea.ramnode.com/knowledgebase/4172/How-Does-Hourly-Billing-Work-for-Cloud-Hosting.html

Instances count toward usage as long as they exist. This includes stopped instances.

Is this still going on? How long will the promo last?

This would be a killer feature if you could enable it. I've tried pretty much all of the hourly billed VPS providers, and only about 2 of them offer nested KVM support.

    Few more days

  • Signed up this weekend. So far support is incredibly responsive for being of hours (weekend). And the MKVM I am running is incredibly fast. Service stays like this I'll stick around. Moved services to a provider earlier in the week for Hybrid offering. Secondary drive took a dump less thank 24 hours of getting services moved. Needless to say I was and still am pissed as I lost a few hours of data reverting to DB restore. :-) RAMNODE you have saved me!
