Yes, it works just fine. No issues whatsoever.
Edit 2: not so obvious irony, see below.

Yup. The IPMI is VERY finnicky.

Here's a quick rundown of how I got it to work

    1. Log in to the server over ssh running centos
    2. Install ipmitool using this command: yum install openipmi ipmitool
    3. List all users: ipmitool user list 1
    4. Set pass for ADMIN account (was entry 2 in my user list): ipmitool user set password 2 NEWPASSWORDHERE
    5. Log in to the supplied IPMI ip (see control panel on dbd site)(username ADMIN password is your NEWPASSWORDHERE). Might have to add https to it if it doesnt work by default. Some are listing the https port, some the normal http port.
    6. Go to remote control->console redirection. Ignore all stuff about java.
    7. Launch console and save the file
    8. Open the file with notepad++ and note the url listed at the top
    9. Open up java config screen (latest java works fine) and add the url just noted to the exceptions list
    10. Open the jnlp file and start the kvm console
    11. Go to virtual media -> virtual storage. Second tab for cdrom. Add a local iso and click "plug in"
    12. Switch back to your ssh and type ipmitool chassis bootdev cdrom
    13. Switch to the kvm again, open up the virtual keyboard and force a reboot with ctrl+alt+delete on the virtual keyboard
    14. It should boot into your supplied iso file
    15. Run through the installer as normal. First network port seems to be the functional one. Might have to force a manual network config here.
    16. Wait out the installer
    17. Prior to rebooting, plug out the virtual storage.
    18. ??
    19. Profit.

Okay thanks for the replies. Still haven't had mine provisioned and wasn't one of the ones who needed additional verification. Guess I'll keep waiting! Thanks for the run down regarding getting ipmi working!

Although that's bad, sounds much better than last two I had. IPMI never worked on one, and other required java 6 specifically.

Haha yeah. Same here. Had to spin up a goddamn Windows XP VM to get it to work, quite the ordeal.

They said the same thing after I sent them copy of passport and utility bill.

I think I'll just go with syslinux, like last time. That's if it gets provisioned, although I did get an order setup in progress email.

I will take that as a compliment, thanks. In contrast I actually asked HostSailor to release $6.6/yr KVM and XEN.

But perhaps let's wait for BF and see what else we have :)

Yes, people do tend to lose interest when they find out what 10 Gb unmetered can cost.

I believe that for the average Joe 10Gbps is like unlimited-everything-hosting. Pure psychological factor, they will never use that much.
