Just out of curiosity I have spent quite a bit spare time of mine in last few days going through various offers here and other hosting forums and I have to say nothing comes close. Naturally something like Kimsufi flash sales is cheaper, but if you add 1gbit port speed with all the provided bandwidth and the second 3TB hard drive, it is next to impossible to find anything similar especially in the US and west coast.
This is nothing but trying to justify an early Sunday morning impulse purchase, but looks like it genuinely was a pretty damn good deal

If you haven't already, sign up for Metadedi emails using the link earlier in the thread so you can get a notification as soon as they restock. I forgot to unsubscribe after I got my server, but @qps posted at 11:01PM and I got an email at 11:10PM advising me a server was available.

This isn't meant to be overly restrictive. Unfortunately, people find new ways to take advantage and be abusive all the time, so we need something in there to allow for that.

We are nearly out of 3TB drives, so I put up the last few that will be under the original post offer.
I will ask for anyone who got tagged by MaxMind or was previously rejected for another reason - please DO NOT re-order without first getting permission from us to do so. It wastes everyone's time to try to brute force your way in (and it won't work).

which Hetzner location ?

Falkenstein or Nuremberg? (Hetzner storage boxes are in Falkenstein last time I checked ...)

ok, spun up a cloud instance in Falkenstein to test
iperf shows a bit faster pulling from Hetzner to QP LA (80 to 125 mbit/s)
copying an approximately 1 GB file via scp gives about 12.5 MB/s from Hetzner to QP LA
Might expect speeds to vary a bit more depending on time of day as well.
Seems about par for course, not too shabby, maybe could be a bit better but not sure exactly where the bottleneck is (probably somewhere neither here nor there - I often try routing through incero Dallas if I feel more need for speed.)
Yes, they're in Falkenstein. If you hover your curser over the German flag here, you'll see that it's for FSN = Falkenstein. --Katie
I'm not sure there's much we can do to improve this from our side. It is a pretty long distance route and routes over GTT the whole way in both directions. Latency is right around 150ms, which is pretty solid considering the distance.
