That looks extremely summer hosty. SCAM alert is beeping like hell. And that price... 6.66 $ MONTHLY. Definitely adding this to deadpool monitoring.

P.S. MU servers! https://chimpanzeehost.com/clientsarea/cart.php?gid=2 that's an efkin retro!

Alright, it's Friday and no important jobs in queue. Let's dig in:

    1. https://imgur.com/a/qLerf9o - Domain established on 2018-03-13
    2. Seems this is sovahost.net which is also full of lies - Domain established on 2015-05-12 but they stating that in business 'Since 2011'.
    3. Seems they provide free hosting on the same servers as paid ones: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1558257

I can dig more dirty lies, but hey, this may become a nice drama! So, let it be.

That was some very good digging ;) let me help out there

So there cPanel server (easy to find its just monkey.) is actually sovahost.net (the hostname shows falcon.sovahost)

Either a reseller or same company hiding behind a new brand?

Hidding. They have http://sovahosting.com which is deadpooled?

All-in-all - it is VERY dangerous to host critical stuff on this 'hosting provider'.

    "Tough crowd ... lol"

Back to the OP: their connection to SovaHost seems to be the biggest question.

No, it's https://www.sovahost.net/ (SovaHost), which is still operational.

  • angstromangstrom Moderator

It'll be interesting to see how willing/ready the OP (@Chimpanzee) is to clarify matters.

It's both. Look at logotype. Owls are similar.

  • BopieBopie Member

The thing that makes me feel like the connection is more then just shared hosting is if you check there test ips on there site guess what the hostnames are .... sovahost.net

if that wasnt bad enough they have the same products and pricing scheme ???

I may be wrong here but i dont mind resellers but this just looks like 1 company with a new name

    Possibly.

But sovahosting.com resolves to a different IP, 192.185.103.82 , which belongs to Unified Layer.

In any case, it appears that sovahosting.com is in a prelaunch-stage rather than in a post-deadpool stage.

    Hello,

Thank you for your comments. The answer is pretty simple and obvious we think. Two partners began a company that later splits into 2.

I agree: it looks like one company with two names, sovahost.net (older) and chimpanzeehost.com (newer).

Im not one to start stuff but id thats the case why are you both using the same servers still? how can 2 separate companies use the same servers, pricing and well basically everything, if you had split would you not have separate servers for each company, Im happy to be proven wrong

    Hello,

We dont see a problem in hosting our own websites in the same shared hosting.
An investment made would later slpit in two (same servers/prices/etc).

    Stop monkeying around.

"hosting our own websites in the same shared hosting"

asking for a disaster, one bad customer hosts malware, google blocks by IP, you fucked. just example here.

"An investment made would later slpit in two (same servers/prices/etc)."

but why, just keep one established brand, otherwise u look v scammer.

This! An epic title going perfectly along with 'sisters', 'php SELECTERS' etc. These gems should be committed to one handcrafted and maintained git repo.

Well I can't say this thread is not off to a good start. The offer is not valid in anyway. Well I will pull it because the provider does even have links to the VPS listed. Also charging a setup fee on top of it. They have a 24/7 call center also! Boy they share servers with another company! Sounds like a total winner chicken dinner!

  • PieHasBeenEatenPieHasBeenEaten Member, Host Rep

Well @Chimpanzee swung from his last tree and fell to the ground. Failure to comply with the rules for selling on LET. He will be back!

Yeah, and their next offer will be for buffalo when they come back.

Well, that didn't last long, but good riddance.

I also felt that they were giving chimpanzees a bad name.
