Furthermore there was no evidence under the link you posted, so if you don't have any proofs yourself of any wrongdoing stop trying to gain credit by posting into other people's threads.

Brian Krebs is a very respected security researcher that already helped put several cyber criminals in jail. I wouldn't simply disregard his research as a "random blog report".
Glad we're not in jail years later, and we have moved forward ever since, the report had no evidence and was based on other false report that also contained not evidence/proof of any wrong doing on HostSailor's side, and until this day we have zero tolerance for abuse or spam on our network, and our users know that very well, so does the public. So for us this case is over.
Brian Krebs is just a reporter who is basing his entire blog posts on other people's work either they're valid or not, so for us him as a reporter really means nothing, he does this for fame and even if he discovered that any of his posts are invalid or based on wrong information he would certainly hesitate to make any changes or announcements otherwise he would look incompetent infront of his audience.
On a side note we've reached to him recently to meet him face to face and see what is this all about, but he refused to meet any of us and said he rather avoid meeting people he write about, so again for us this case is all bogus and is mainly for his own fame and we wouldn't be surprised if other providers are part of this report.
Only reason anyone would buy hostsailor would be offshore or ddos, but since they no longer enable spoofing it literally cuts the usage possibilities to half, so it loses to other providers that specializes in offshore.
Just go to BuyVM LUX or hostsolutions/cociu for dmca ignored.

I can't comment on his relationship with Hostsailor but Krebs has been a total dickhead, who thinks he is in the right when he isn't, in the past. He doxxed the creator of the Javascript Mining Library accusing him of spreading malware when the guy was looking for an alternative to advertising and implemented it as opt-in on his website. Krebs however only saw evil money making schemes and invoked his personal army on the poor guy.
This is pretty much what anyone with a DeVry degree and the ability to write does on the internet these days.

but as far as I could tell, it was inconclusive at best. (Krebs wasn't infallible.)
In the meantime, HostSailor don't seem to be in the (bad) news, and they seem to have satisfied customers. (I had a VPS with them once, there were no issues, and they were helpful in replying to tickets.)

I'd like to hear your side of this and I think last time LET discussed this, it never came to a conclusion other than some people don't like Krebs and the general consensus was Hostsailor isn't a bulletproof / Santrex-like host etc and certainly hasn't been doing the things that got Santrex a bad name, but as far as I know there was no answer on the Khalid Cook association raised by Krebs. Perhaps even it is the same person, but perhaps they had absolutely no involvement in the shadier side of Santrex. At any rate, there's a question there that doesn't seem to have been answered in these three or so years since Kreb's post.

This discussion has been going on over and over through different channels on the internet, and we replied and discussed it enough, who works/worked in a company other than HostSailor is not something that we would wish to discuss. We are only interested in answering things related to the services we provide and that's all we can answer on this forum.
Perhaps you weren't involved in all the online discussions that took place over other forums and this forum from the start... We were labeled as cyber criminals hiding behind made up entities, had no office, was not based in Dubai, connected us to hacking groups, and accused us of facilitating abuse on our network so we offered to meet him on his home land soil in a public place to prove we exist and that we have nothing to do with what he is accusing us of, so what is wrong with that? if you accuse someone of something you better be ready to face it and show evidence, so if you think we did the wrong thing well nothing more we can say at this moment.
We are providing decent support and affordable services for five years straight and our reviews as well as our customers are part of it and are happy, that's all we care about. Someone like Brian Krebs has only one job, get famous and maintain being an influencer and it doesn't matter how he does it even if the news he shares are copied from other sources without any grounds or bases.
Assuming this was directed to us, we are replying to people on this thread that were directing negative and false accusations/information to HostSailor so we're just merely doing our job by replying to them don't see why we had any attitude here and if we did we certainly didn't have any towards potential clients or current clients they're directed to people who are happy to jump into a thread with groundless accusations and/or working with Krebs and try to earn some exposure inside a thread that has no goal but to market and advertise our products, so please if we did wrong do enlighten us so we can hopefully improve on our next thread

That sounds like a "yes" - being Khalid Cook was management at both; but Krebs was perhaps (and certainly from what people think of your services here - he was) wrong on your nature as a provider. Perhaps Krebs was even wrong on it being a meaningful association - Khalid Cook may have had nothing to do with the scams Santrex pulled years ago in which case that link Krebs made means nothing.
If you'd just come out and say that I'd consider the matter closed, I presume others would too. If you continue to dodge the question however, I just can't trust you and I imagine some others would see it the same way.
Of course, you can feel free to ignore my viewpoint on this, but I honestly think it would be better for you to put this one to bed by clearing it up publicly. Just my personal 2c.
