Google Cloud Platform - For free $300 credit every year

Since when Google Cloud provides free renewal?

Since I can create new account every year.

Lol, do you use your Gmail and add +blah(1-10000) to the address? Or another email provider? Once a year doesn't sound like too much effort, I suppose.

Gmail. Hey it's a free vpn. Nothing can beat free. Totally worth it creating account once a year.

    Top providers for me:

    1. BuyVM @Francisco. Been using them since 2012, and I don't think I'll move to any other provider any time soon. Love the new storage slabs feature as it allowed me to get rid of one of my other VPSes (that had more storage) and migrate everything across to my BuyVM.

    2. ClouDNS @BoyanPeychev. Been using them for a few years now too. Very reliable DNS hosting

    3. @VirMach. My go to for Windows servers. I'm amazed that they can provide Windows Server licenses given how cheap their VPSes are. Too bad they're using ColoCrossing and thus will likely never offer IPv6 or have IPs that aren't in spam blacklists.

Honorable mention: BudgetNode @Ishaq. Just started using them for a storage VPS recently, but haven't had any issues. Haven't been using them long enough to know how well it'll work long-term.

Honorable mention: DigitalOcean. I don't have any VPSes with them right now, but they're very useful for instantly spinning up a VPS and testing something for a few hours.

I thought you need to add your credit cards or payment method to use the trial?

  • I prefer those using a custom billing or cloud platform (other than WHMCS, Blesta, etc.) for no specific reason. So, in no particular order...

    SEA:
    1. DigitalOcean (Singapore)
    2. Vultr (Singapore)
    3. LeaseWeb (Singapore)

    US:
    1. IonSwitch
    2. ImpactVPS
    3. AlphaVPS

    Eager to try in 2019:
    1. BuyVM
    2. InceptionHosting
    3. Cloudvider
    4. MXRoute (I missed the BF deals last year, have to wait for the next one)

  • MikeAMikeA Member, Patron Provider

@FAT32 Maybe VCC like Privacy.com works.

There's still some stock available on the Black Friday deals: https://billing.mxroute.com/cart.php?gid=13.

I got excited, but not available in Australia. Bugger.

Thanks, man! This has got to be the best news I hear in 2019 so far. I'm grabbing some later this evening. Just tired of paying too much for protonmail and tutanota with limited aliases.

  • My top 5:

Nier Automata - a 2017 release, but I only played it in March. Life-changing stuff.

    Dragon Ball Fighterz

    Starlink: Battle for Atlas

    Super Smash Brothers Ultimate

    Yakuza Kiwami

  • Dearest All,

I have used Virmach and Hetzner which have been well. Hetzner is better however they only have servers in Europe which is inconvenient.

    With Warm Regards,
    James B Peach

  • My top 5 is, in no specific order:
    AnyNode
    Nexril
    Vultr
    LaunchVPS
    HostDoc

Notable mentions (only cause I have to pick just 5):
    Zare
    Bigpowerhosting
    Spry servers
    Budgetnode
    ExtraVM
    Vps247
    Freerangecloud

And more but its new years eve, so enough from me! In general everyone Ive gotten servers from (and haven't deadpooled yet) has been spot on.

    Happy 2019 everyone!

I am in the 2nd year , never asked for billing , maybe I am special cheapskate ?

    1. Gullo's NAT Hosting - vps is always up, and just insanely cheap
    2. BuyVM - Used them several years ago, love the custom panel and performance
    3. w00thosting - very rough in the beginning, but has stabilized
    4. AlphaRacks - won free credit, but the vps is the snappiest one i've ever used
    5. QuickClickHosting - had some downtime periodically in the beginning, but it seems stabilized now and is doing great for a $5/yr ipv4 box)

I really want to try other hosting providers as well. Most of which are in @eva2000's post.

W00talpha are okay for low expectation requirements.

For sure! You should plan some more emergency outages on your multiple redundant everything network so you can be the hero to your fans here. They love it!

    Making outages cool again!

Let me remind you of being offtopic again.

    Holy fucking irony.

  • My top 5:

    1. @launchvps LaunchVPS
    2. @Nick_A RamNode
    3. @SpartanHost SpartanHost
    4. @Hetzner_OL Hetzner
    5. Vultr

Used to love @KuJoe SecureDragon but it appears not much developments there nowadays except for interesting backup solutions. I was hoping Wyvern will mature more for KVM but unsure if KuJoe is interested in KVM much.

Keeping an eye on @Francisco BuyVM who I used briefly and loved the support.

Also signed up with @AnthonySmith Inception for shared hosting.

Prometeus seems to have disappeared from the forum, I think we used to have someone post from there. Haven't used them in a while.

BuyVM - I've been super happy with my BuyVM LV 4GB ram slice with their slabs
Leaseweb - I bought one of their 8.99/euro NL VPSes and it's been rock solid with a great network as always
Vapornode - I really love their dedicated core KVM line and they offer some really great pricing during their sales.
ServerAstra - They have a new cloud vps line with AMD EPYC cores, nvme, etc in Hungary and they had some great sales recently so I got a 2 core, 4GB RAM, 50gb nvme, 12TB bandwidth for around $8/month.
