If it is a business that won't wait to gain traffic just because it has a .com in the end of the domain, then, any domain you chose will do the job. For many people, .com, .net, .org seem more professional the same time that .xyz seem a little toο exotic.
On the other hand, .xyz and other gTLDs do not have the same extremely low reputation as they had some years ago. The .com extension is getting harder to give a proper name for a business (more and more you have to register something like "mybusinessthatihavetofindalargename.com"), so, giving a small domain with a .xyz extension could be maybe a better solution. If your business website is useful and informative for your visitors and you sell/give attractive goods - offers, then, the domain won't be an issue for that.

This is also due to the fact that lot people are not very creative when naming a business, and end with using the same words ... or should I say keywords. I know that lot believe it's important that, from a business name you can tell what it does immediately, there are good example to prove it, for example Apple, Google, Amazon, eBay, etc...

  • .xyz maybe good for blogs and fun sites, but .com is so serious online business... In chase you find that https://riseshost.com domain is taken, then try to use www.Rises-host.com

  • Alternatively:
    Rename your business.

  • +1 for .com especially if it's for your business. If that's not available then try one for your country level tld. As others have pointed out .xyz may not be classed as the most spammed extension but it's certainly seen that way by the general public so most likely won't install trust or confidence in potential purchasers of your product/service. For that reason, alone id stay away from it if its use case is for a business.
