Everything is in the title.

Budget: 2.5$/month.

  • Specs Requirements: 1GB of RAM is the bare minimum acceptable.
  • 20GB of (preferably SSD) storage is bare minimum although I could settle for 15GB if I must.
  • Must have Debian 8 or 9 as available OS.

Bandwidth requirements are:

  • Highly prefered as Unmetered.
  • Port can be artificially shaped to 10Mbps to prevent bandwidth hogging, most peaks/spikes are estimated to 5Mbps at best.
  • Inbound traffic will most likely be coming from OVH, Online.net and Leaseweb networks.
  • Outbound traffic will be at 99% towards Thailand commercial ISPs.

Thanks.

So, you want to push around 3tb, 1 gig of RAM, spamming providers, for $2.50/mo.

    Get fucked.

Nope. Lowest per month in VN is 6.8$ and no guaranteed for international bandwidth (maybe 0.5-1Mbps).

As #1 said: "Good luck with your budget"

If OVH once has offered that deal as a limited introductory offer, this means that it is the new baseline all providers must adhere to from now on and into eternity.

Oh by the way I wanted to sell you one of those "OVH VPS APAC 1" on IRC, but you weren't in the channel, so had to cancel it unfortunately. People said you were banned earlier, but I wonder why, you only spammed the channel like 7 times a day about it, not any more.

    In other words,

  • You shouldn't post a troll thread in Request, ask mod to move it to Offtopic.

    Thanks.

Even Vultr in Singapore does not have that specification for the same price..

  • May I recommend GreenValueHost?

  • Have you tried dewlance?

  • The requirements aren’t even that high to begin with.

1 core? Lowest you can expect unless one of you geniuses find a way to split a vCore even further down the lane.

1GB of RAM? Lowest you can expect again unless you want to venture in the excessive retardness 384MB or 768MB RAM some shitass providers have the guts to come up with.

20GB of SSD? I even stated I could accept as low as 15GB.

The bandwidth? With a port capped at 10Mbits and 5Mbits consumption 24/7 it should be nothing hard to come by...

Anyway stop trolling and GTFO my thread.

  • The problem is your budget: $2.50/ month is already too low for a decent VPS service in NA or EU, much more in the Asian region where bandwidth and electricity is much more expensive.

    My suggestion:

    VN-1

    $60/year

    1GB RAM/1GB SWAP
    1 vCore CPU
    15GB SSD RAID-10
    2TB/mo Bandwidth
    1Gbps Port
    1 IPv4
    24/7/365 technical support
    Linux OS
    Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

    Budget: 2.5$/month. >> failed

This a some kind of poison enough for some unsuspected folks from APAC.

  • I have multiple server from ALL of those regions. Your budget IS A FUCKING JOKE

I guess you don't understand the Asian culture or you're just plain awful at running a business.

I got my first VPS covered in .HK with a reputed provider for exactly 2.61 USD$ a month, specs are as following:

    • 1vCore (seems to be running at 2.400MHz).
    • 1GB of RAM (no swap enabled).
    • 15GB of disk space, (not SSD though, HDD I/O seems a bit on the low end with 110 MB/s).
    • Debian 9.3 (although I would have prefered a 9.5, this will do).

    • Bandwidth wise: Unmetered "best effort".

    • No direct route to China aka CN2.
    • Roughly 3mbits from 06:00 to 00:00 (UTC +8)
    • Unrestricted full 100mbits from 00:00 to 06:00 (UTC +8).

Stable pings is roughly 80ms to BKK and 45ms to my OVH VPS in SG.

To get this fare, 24 months fully paid in advance through PayPal, VPS delivered in less than an hour.

Now all I need is a similar provider in VN/LA/KH/TH.

There you go. Ready to pre-paid more for random provider.

Yeah right, you guys are a fucking joke, acting like as if 2.61$*24mo=62$ were such a big ass deal to begin with.

Even should they go bankrupt at some point in the near future, I'm not going to cry over a 62$ "loss".

You bunch of brokeass plebs disgust me. Get lost.

  • Nice example of understanding of Asian culture enough.

I was asked not to disclose that information by the provider. Sorry,

PS: rtorrent seeding at 1.3MB/s as we speak. Even more than the agreed bandwidth.

I think you're missing the point; the deal I struck was a customized tailored one time 24 months offer, as such it is fairly obvious that 1) This deal is unique, you will not be able to subscribe to an identical offer and 2) The provider has it's motive for asking customer not to disclose any information/specific regarding either the offer or the provider itself.

TL;DR: NDA / CA / CDA / PIA / SA, let me help you:
