OVH, please make this change to Public Cloud S1-2, S1-4, and S1-8 instances too!

It will on S1-2 first. price already decreased, now we have to update the storage part.

Edit : update : storage update isn't planned for new weeks, we should have it during summer but not as fast as i thought.

Will it be possible to upgrade existing VPS-SSD-1 to use the bigger storage?

No sorry. Since you are root and the storage is "attached" to the hardware host, it's quite complicated to automatize it.
We plan to launch VPS-SSD managed during the quarter (LAMP/LEMP stack and managed OS) who will allow us to do it.

    SG (APAC)?

not planned to update the APAC offers.

@wokenwoll the OVH Canada site had a $18/yr rebate on yearly purchases of VPS-SSD 2016, can you get them to activate this on VPS-SSD 2018 ?

wait a bit, the prices & specs will be available worldwide except APAC Datacenters with the sames conditions.

Do you mean the US datacenters will have these products too?

Dedicated servers don't even get 1Gbps, so that would be doubtful.

    @wokenwoll

This! 40GB in S1-8 is very limiting. Come on, it's 26€/m when paid hourly, 80GB should be the minimum disk.

I always forget to mention Us sorry :) == no. "except APAC and US".

I need it to be the root disk. Packer doesn't manage volumes.

Good that OVH allows booting from the disks then :-)

Ceph based disks compared to local SSD. Not realiable enough in terms of performance ('up to' guarantees).

+10GB disk on the other S-* plans would be appreciated as well. <3

Thanks for the extra 10GB, but I still can't figure where the price decrease is.
    (It's still €2.99+VAT here)

Previously they raised the price to 3.99 EUR, and then immediately offered a 1 EUR off with the condition that you prepay for a year, and only first year (non-recurring). Now that has been dropped, it's 2.99 EUR again, recurring and no conditions.

Also new DCs, London and Frankfurt, have been 4.99 EUR. That's been dropped also, those are 2.99 EUR too now.

  • New SyS offers soon :

    The end is nigh.

IMHO those 1225v2 / 1245v2 should move to KS, they've been there for 5 years now with usualy the same price. Yes, it is time for a change.

The Netherlands is full of DC's and resellers, there is no need to.

Both Graveland and Roubaix are within ~5ms to NL, what else do you want?

Used to be €3.99 euro after the introduction of their price increase because of Anti-DDoS, so they removed that 1 euro again - thus price being decreased.

  • Bandwidth just ofer 100 Mbps?

Yes, you're paying 3 euro for a VPS with unmetered connection - do you really expect 1 gigabit for a cheap product? :')

Maybe higher price can get to share 1Gbps is ok?
