Please note there's probably a RAID rebuild ongoing so treat the disk I/O with a pinch of salt, though I am impressed at it.

Madness... it's me! Thank you for honoring me.

The IOFLOOD offer is probably the best one out there.
Though it could be even better and cheaper by reducing RAM, 48GB are useless for a storage dedi. 8GB are more than enough.

    Thanks : )

As to ram, it's cheap these days, so passing that along to you guys. Our default minimum is 48gb on these because of that.

For storage servers specifically, more ram is used for disk caching, which can improve i/o performance in many cases. In general though, I agree you wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on ram for the typical storage server use case. The extra ram may come in handy for other use cases.

Thanks for ordering and thanks for benchmarking!

You're right, disk i/o will improve once the raid resync completes. You can check on the progress by running "cat /proc/mdstat", or if you're like me and enjoy scrolling numbers: "watch cat /proc/mdstat"

Depending on the model we might be able to add another drive, but we don’t do remote storage as such I’m afraid

Do you have a test file for the same network as the E3-1241v3 servers? (You've got it listed as E3-1341v3 btw, may want to fix :P)

Fairly confident that the server he is looking at is priced normally at £30.00/mo and after applying the discount, the "Total Recurring" amount is staying the same.

Edit: I'm seeing the same behavior, fwiw

If it were recurring, then the base price would be 36 gbp/month. 20% of that is 7.2gbp discount.

It looks like it's using the 30gbp for discount calculation, while listing the 30gbp as recurring, meaning the discount probably isnt.

@clouvider might want to fix that if it's indeed non-recurring.

Well unless you’re having the VAT removed, that is a 20% discount.

Looks like it's indeed non-recurring, probably a checkbox not checked by @clouvider:

Edit: or the billing panel is being a dick

Fixed, sorry! For those who ordered already, this will naturally be adjusted on provisioning and set as recurring.

    Apologies and thanks for spotting!

@Clouvider, it's a good thing you're not in the States or else I'd just be setting up my paycheck to be deposited in your bank account each week :P
