Hi,
I need to transfer my WP website to bigger VPS - What do you think is better in terms of CPU power but also storage IO/IOPS?
Hi LET readers,
Here's a few upgrades that we have made to the Hetzner Cloud.
1) Our team has upgraded the server's overview page to improve user-friendliness. Let me know what you think, and I'll pass your comments on to our dev team.
2) The Hetzner Cloud API documentation (https://docs.hetzner.cloud ) has a newdesign. You can now also receive JSON schemata for all requests and replies: Just hit the "Schema" tab on the right to display it.
3) A new Hetzner Cloud provider is now available for HashiCorp Terraform. You can use it to interact with cloud resources supported by Hetzner Cloud.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask does Hetzner Cloud suport private networks between Cloud Servers?
And if not - What would be difference in lag when connecting using public IP?
First question: We don't support private networks. This is one of the most frequently requested upgrades for the cloud. I will add a "+1" for you on the wish list of requests next to "private networks".
Second question: I am not entirely sure since I am not a technician, just a marketing assistant. However our product advice team might be able to help you with this question. You can reach them via https://www.hetzner.com/support-form or via +49 (0)911 234226-927 --Katie, Marketing
No updates from July
@Hetzner_OL any news about private networks between own VMs?
Kubernetes?
Hi AleksZ - Sorry that I have been away so long from LET! Things here at Hetzner Online have been pretty busy!
Private networks is already on the wishlist for the Hetzner Cloud. We don't publish roadmaps for new features, but I can add a "+1" for you. You may have noticed that Hetzner Cloud now has block storage. We call it "Volumes": https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/CloudServer/en#Volumes
For your kubernetes question, perhaps this tweet from a few weeks ago will help you:
Hi everyone, Happy St.Nick's Day! I just wanted to remind anyone who was in the beta test for Hetzner Cloud Volumes that the beta is over today and the product is officially launched. So the bad news is that you now need to pay for your Volumes, but the great news is that they only cost €0.04/GB/month. --Katie, Marketing
We'll give you five more excuses to feel festive! We're giving new and old customers a €5 credit to use on any Hetzner Cloud products, including the new Cloud Volumes. Just log in to Cloud Console (https://console.hetzner.cloud), go to "Usage" and "Credits", and enter the code "XMASCLOUD" under "Redeem code". Don't wait too long, though. You can only reclaim the code until midnight (CET) on 21 December, and you need to use the credit by 31 January 2019.
Enjoy! --Katie, Marketing
Any news on private networking @Hetzner_OL ? Pretty essential feature!
Hi @redbull666, our dev team knows that it's a highly demanded feature for the Cloud and they are working on implementing the wishes of our customers. However, I still can't name a date or further details. We'll post it on our Social Media channels as soon as it is available so you don't miss it. Thank you for your patience.

Happy Humpday!
There aren't any new features for our Cloud Volumes but for those of you who like to watch videos we have a new Tekktalk about our Hetzner Cloud block storage 😉

Any plan to upgrade the RancherOS image to 1.5.1? It was released three months ago.
Why not open a ticket about this?
Hi everyone!
Many of you have been waiting for this, so we're super happy to announce that Hetzner Cloud Networks Beta is now available!
From today you can connect your Hetzner Cloud servers through private networks.
The feature is free. Try it out now: https://console.hetzner.cloud/projects

Maybe something to add on the roadmap / wish list @Hetzner_OL is automatic migration of Ceph based (Cloud) servers when the hardware node goes down.
A while ago we had some downtime (due to the hardware node having issues) on a production server which was Ceph based, but our cloud server was never migrated to a different node, resulting in 30 minutes of downtime.
After contacting support we were informed that the migration of Ceph servers is not automatic (but manual), which is not clear when reading the wiki:
https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/CloudServer/en#What_is_the_difference_between_local_and_ceph_disks_for_servers_on_the_CX_models.3F
Hi Aleksio - Thanks for the feedback about this. It's sometimes hard to know what customers will assume and not assume about a product, so it's nice to know this. I've passed on your comment to one of the colleagues in the Cloud team. I'll see what we can do about better communicating this and I'll pass the request for automated migration on as a +1 for the customer wishlist.
