Around 0.13€ per kWh in Austria, Germany around 0.16€ per kWh and Netherlands around 0.18€ per kWh, on a fixed price. Base costs are highest in Germany directly followed by Netherlands. All on industrial energy sourcing contracts.

NL industry prices are not 0.18 per kWh, it's consumer prices
you should be around ~0.08 to 0.10 euro per kWh for industrial

    I'm not.

  • Abdussamad said: Maybe they don't want people to abuse subsidized (?) electricity connections?

Electricity is supplied to consumers at subsidized, fixed tariffs. The idea is to make electricity affordable for ordinary People, not to supply cheap inputs for crypto-mining enterprises.

Venezuela for instance cracked down on mining for that reason.

Venezuela will actually float a crypto-asset that is sort of a commodities future to raise cash.

    XD

To anyone who doesn't understand sarcasm, pretty sure that @key900 meant 150-200kwh per month.

If you only use 150-200KW/month then it is only 0.27EGP/KW ($0.015) not 1.25EGP($0.071)

    Usage: 25.900 cents per kWh (0.20 USD/kWh)
Daily supply charge: 92.736 cents per day (0.73 USD/day)

    I can get:

    > Time of Use (ToU)
    > Time of Use (ToU) – Tariff 93
    > Daily supply charges 103.021 ¢/day
    > Peak 31.307 ¢/kWh
    > Off-Peak 14.577 ¢/kWh
    >
    > Time Periods Tariff Rate
    > Mon – Fri: 7am – 10am | 4pm – 9pm Peak
    > Mon - Fri: 10am – 4pm | 9pm - 7am Off-Peak
    > Sat – Sun: (all weekends) Off-Peak
    >

But it's not really worth it. Could be if I was mining though and just turn it off during peak times.

looks pretty much like Brisbane, Australia electricity pricing :)

See here for an example of Venezuela's crackdown on bitcoin mining.

Also FYI centralized crypto released by a govt. is not bitcoin. It's just another bolivar really.

  • Annoyingly in the UK we get these things called 'Standing Charge' which is a daily charge for just being connected to each energy. (Gas,Electric).

  • I live in the jungle so I don't use electricity. I only have my wifi...

Those are called "Connection fees" here and mine is ~150€/yr. Your paltry #48 means nothing to us.

    Electrity: 0.0398€/kWh
    Transfer: 0.0331€/kWh

    ~0,05$/kWh in Belarus

  • Libya.

0.15 LYD per kWh which equals 0.11 USD.
    flat rate for residential.

  • Residential electricity in the UK is about 0.12 to 0.15 pence per kWh + standing charge (minimum daily charge).

@eastonch Pfft, we have to pay $32.63 (grid maintenance, charged every 30 days) + $0.013750/kWh (transmission charge) + $0.01063/kWh (distribution charge) + 13% tax.

All that doesn’t even include the actual cost for electricity (13c/kWh on peak I believe).

Fun fact: even if you use absolutely no power, you still have to pay $32.63 + tax. Toronto Hydro does this because they’re a bunch of crooks :(

Edit 2: The grid maintenance cost doesn’t include a SLA. Seriously, I get brownouts waaaaay too often.

True.. lucky in Brisbane, Australia energy for me is around $6-8/day. Means just internet + electricity per month = ~AUD$400/m

Germany, at the local municipal provider:
republican energy: 0.2418€/kWh + 7.85€ base per month incl. tax
green energy: 0.2484€/kWh + 7.85€ base per month incl. tax

Sitting in the same boat, i'm a bit jealous of the other people

    Don’t be.
Yes, we pay more, but on the other hand here we don’t have people running around with guns and shooting people in schools or churches.
I’d say that’s a decent trade for us.
