Wow, that's quite speedy.
Have you tried Minecraft on the 2G?
@JRT Should i setup now Minecraft Server or what?
I Setup one.... should be online in some minutes
Schlechte Idee.
Ruhe da hinten du ungläubiger. Here its online: 37.187.0.127
Which one is that :O ?
1.6.2 Vanilla Minecraft the newst
Thanks. It's running surprisingly well. Hopefully OVH will sell to US customers such as myself soon.
But takes a lot of CPU arround 20% for each of 3 Threads.
Well, when you host a Minecraft server, I will surely come and test
Already online.... ;:D
I envy you u.u
Got nothing better to do so building a house.
You should try a bukkit server with plugins like we see them on 1.5/2gb
Im going to try the server if its still up later today. My graphics card randomly decided to stop working. I wanted to see if I got any lag since my ping to the ip is about 100ms.
@hakimsheriff, where are you from?
I'm in Montreal, but since my ISP is in Toronto, everything goes through there.
Nice house da, if someone know about bukkit could help me to setup it with lwc and protection etc...
A LONG way to go from my experiences too. Even a GRE tunnel pushing <1mbit is enough to set it off.
LowEndMinecraft anyone?
@splitice did you contact ovh about it?
@xset I told the affected person to. I don't know the end result, but they stopped opening tickets to me.
I think they put the limit very low for testing purposes, they will try to simulate many attacks against many IPs for a kind of last resort scenario if there is a virus attack against some services, or other kind of internet storm.
When you put up a DDoS protection of such a scale, you should test a lot of scenarios so when is ready for commercial use will not fall flat even in unlikely situations.
got cancelled right now
make me sad
this just make them being from great provider to low provider
throw a big promo but cannot fulfill the market want
maybe this was because the order of it from 24 hours since the release the info about the promo, and got mass order around OUT OF THEIR range and capability to approve all of them so they restricted it
So much it is obvious, I am also willing to bet this price will not last. They will cost at least 4 Eur soon. it is still a great price and the DDoS protection alone is worth it, though.
They upgrade prices soon due ddos protection.
before this promo i was already plan to get one
but i know my knowledge about server even the VPS was very low, so i wait it for awhile. When this promo was posted in LEB, i was so excited, without a second though i order for 6 month, but got canceled after all.
even it was still at 10 Euro, i will order it
but please kindly remove that EU Resident only
That's a nice way of putting it.
"We upgraded our prices, they are much better now."
Who are you talking to right now?
You can order from other providers at similar prices (10 Eur or even below). It is a good tool to learn linux administration, however, a KVM might be cheaper for this purpose and easier to maintain. I am teaching someone how to install panels and admin sites/linux on a 256 MB ram KVM costing 19 Pounds a year. a KS is much larger, though, and can present hardware issues to be solved and optimized that a KVM will not. So, basic stuff, got for a VM, more advanced, go for a dedi.
