  • I'd like to see more cheap providers offer BGP sessions and native IPv6.

Along with that I'd like to see KVM NAT over OVZ/LXC

so, anyone know where I can get these now? idk where to buy, Quadhost seems cant handle themself problem :( (mann quadhost again)

Openvz mini of wishosting for only 2.99/year.

  • I'd like to see someone offering rock solid shared hosting. Doesn't have to be as cheap as you can get from buyshared and the likes as long as it's just working so I can set something up and just forget about it. Sometimes you just don't want to manage your server yourself but over the past few years setting up my own environment has proven to be much more reliable than any shared hosting I have been using.

I recently found that OpenVPN isn't working at their tiny NAT VM now. I didn't dig into the problem, but @Nyr script isn't working for me anymore.

  • I am looking for a provider than can beat Aruba. 1GB RAM VPS, 1eur / month.
And $1 / month Asian VPS.

  • No luck for both so far. Maybe I should resell aruba for 2 eur / month.

  • I'd like to see some cheap storage offer for plex like thing. Like 30-50TB storage at ~2$ per TB. Currently have Google business plan, but if vps can replace that it would be awesome since rate limit issue.

I mean $2/TB? Thats not going to happen in 2017/

I know that already. OP wants to know what people wants, I'm just posting my opinion for my needs. If I compare storage vps with gdrive then I pay pennies per TB. Again u shouldn't compare that.

Let me think... I don't know any LET style VDR (Resouce Pools) in Europe so... ImpactVPS ins't there yet.

iperweb/iwZip has KVM pools apparently, but at (edit: Under) Vultr ram pricing 5vcpu, 6GB 3GB ram, 100G ssd, for 9.99 GBP (GBP is weaker now so much better deal than at the 'iwZip' launch.)
    https://my.iperweb.com/cart/iwzip/

That's like 50%(woops ) of iwstack SSD instance pricing and you get 5 IPV4.

I pretty sure OP wants to know what people want THAT HE CAN PROVIDE. Asking for down right unsustainable services will just lead to the route of GVH and VortexNode.

@cam246 offers NAT services at good pricing currently. Basically at cost price. GDrive is nowhere near comparable with LET services. GDrive is able to oversell on huge marks as the changes of any more than the few data hoarders using more than 1TB is pretty rare.

Regardless I'm sure closer to $5/TB or $7/TB is much more sustainable with @httpzoom offering $7/TB after taking over CableCheif in Utah.

    I'm looking for LowEnd happiness.

  • FalzoFalzo Member

when browsing lowend, always looking for reliable services at the cheapest possible price. no OVZ crap.

so yes, the measures are 1GB KVM at $1 like arubacloud, 4 GB KVM at 3,5€ like netcup, 1TB storage KVM at 3,5€ like zxhost - no need to offer something like that at the same price or above ;-)

    Thanked by 2vimalware Cam
  • I literally searching for NAT string and it literally found 0 results.

As a storage junkie I like the idea of ftp/scp storage, especially since no other LET providers are doing it afaik. But, I'd be reluctant to buy storage from a new entrant since it's hard to move large amounts of data if the host messes up somehow.

Overall the LET segment is pretty saturated and it's hard to make any money without an established client base. You could aim a little higher and use openstack/ceph/etc instead of the usual whm/solus stuff, but that takes more technical chops.

If you have DC space with people on site, services like mailing out hard drives could be interesting. No one is currently doing that unless you count a few slot hosting products and actual colo.

I second the stuff about storage. I think vapornode discontinued their slot hosting and that just leaves Delimiter.

  • Kimsufi alternatives! < 10$ dedicated servers :)
