Not quite…
Got an email notification that it would take a little longer due to a backlog of orders, but 20 minutes is still within reason. They even automatically gave me 1€ of free credit as compensation for the delay.
Hardware performance seems decent, but I'm a little disappointed about the 100 Mbit/s network.

Had a friendly conversation with @farnox: apparently they don't limit the individual VMs' port speed on the shared Gigabit uplink; I just happened to hit a bad time on an already busy node. They also seem to have some plans for upcoming improvements, but I'll leave it to them to announce those if/when they consider it appropriate.
Support-wise, they're definitely leaving a good impression so far.
