Missed out on Christmas/New Years? I've got some DEALS ON VIRMACH ready to go!

Hi guys,

I'm transitioning to dedicated for virtually everything, because, you know, my ePeen is small and I need to make up for it. What's that mean? EXTRA GIRTH FOR YOU!

I've literally got a dozen KVMs and OVZ sitting here doing nothing, and I've been given the OK to transfer them for a nominal fee. They all come with an IPv4, and the delicious scent of Snuggle fabric softener.

I've got 128MB KVMs w/ IPv4 perfect for VPNs, and I've got a couple 4GB Windows Server setups that I just loaded, powered off, and never did anything with. My haste with waste is your gain!

I take PayPal, and sometimes sexual favors, but only if approved by @Nekki first.

They're all New York as far as I know, but I'd be happy to look them up.. just not right this second.

Here's what's up for grabs (RAM/Disk/Bandwidth):

OVZ:

  • 128MB/5GB/250GB ($6 w/ transfer fee, $3 recurring) - 11 months
  • 128MB/20GB/1000GB ($10 w/ transfer fee / $7 recurring) - 11 months
  • 1G/25GB/750GB ($18 w/ transfer fee / $15 recurring) - 11 months
  • 2G/300GB/3TB ($28 w/ transfer fee / $25 recurring) - 11 months
  • 2G/300GB/3TB ($28 w/ transfer fee / $25 recurring) - 11 months
  • 3G/10GB/500GB ($18 w/ transfer fee / $15 recurring) - 11 months

KVM:

  • 128MB/10G/500GB ($11 w/ transfer fee / $8 recurring) - 11 months
  • 256MB/15GB/1000GB ($21 w/ transfer fee / $18 recurring) - 11 months
  • 256MB/15GB/1000GB ($21 w/ transfer fee / $18 recurring) - 11 months
  • 128MB/10GB/1000G ($10 w/ transfer fee / $7 recurring) - 11 months
  • 128MB/10GB/1000G ($10 w/ transfer fee / $7 recurring) - 11 months
  • 1G/20GB/1000G ($21 w/ transfer fee / $18 recurring) - 11 months
  • 1G/20GB/1000G ($21 w/ transfer fee / $18 recurring) - 11 months
  • 2G/30GB/2TB ($33 w/ transfer fee / $30 recurring) - 11 months
  • 4G/40GB/3TB WINDOWS SERVER ($50 w/ transfer fee / $40 recurring) - 11 months
  • 4G/40GB/3TB WINDOWS SERVER ($50 w/ transfer fee / $40 recurring) - 11 months

Yes, there are redundancies, but I figured I'd list each unit separately to keep things comprehensive. Virmach is now charging $3 per service transfer request, hence the price differences.

Would be nice to list the recurring price as well, with the location added too.

Sorry, I was working off my spreadsheet. I didn't write down what I paid for them..

  • That's some list!

    Updated.

  • Are those recurring prices per year?

Id be interested in 1-2 kvms then.

Yes. My request+transfer (I'm taking the expense for the transfer on most of these) is the first cost. On the right is the renewal cost.

  • Is that last OVZ one meant to be 500gb disk?

Still no location in the list though, and recurring prices seem to be lower or equal to your transfer price? What's the reasoning behind that?

    Thanks for the catch.

They're all New York as far as I know, but make a list and I'll recheck.

PayPal and Transfer fees aren't free. If you don't want it, I'll just let it run out and just turn them off, and you can pay full price for the same thing. :)

It sounds like some providers charge a fee (typically $0-2.50) for transferring.

    I also got excited, but it's a 10GB SSD.

  • WSSWSS Member

It was last I looked, yes. :)

I'm afraid not. 4G was the highest I'll horde with no purpose.

Also, @ehab had a good question: Why is the 256MB unit as expensive as the 1G? I bought those to use for nameservers for a project slightly BEFORE the Christmas specials.

  • @wss sent you a message.

Sorry folks, I missed another typo in my cuttenpaste:

    2G/30GB/3TB ($28 w/ transfer fee / $25 recurring) - 11 months

It sounds like some providers charge a fee (typically $0-2.50) for transferring.

All KVMs are in New York (I can't edit that post anymore), and most of the OVZ are in Dallas. If you are interested in one, send me a message and I'll look it up.

    VirMach charges $3 to transfer.

  • You dislike the provider @WSS ? They also offer Dedis.

I quite like VirMach- I just bought too damn many splurges over Christmas that are now staring at me with only the ability idle wasted processing can.

Nobody could touch Virmach's VPS pricing, and nobody except OVH/Kimsufi seem to come close to VortexNode's prices (and they offer IPv6).
