Woo hoo! Got one after an insane amount of retries, filling in forms multiple times, ended up making 2 accounts by accident and having to reset their passwords. Email confirmation and cell phone confirmation. No passport scan request, at least so far. And they say the've set up my server.

They charged me something like 13 euro VAT even though I'm not in EU. Can I get that back / get them to stop charging it? Hetzner automatically deducts it.

How did you receive SMS confirmation? I have been trying all day with no luck.

  • So 1701.1 is in DC2 and 1701.3 is in DC3. Same for anyone else?

    Thanked by 1vimalware

Both my LT DEALS 1701.1 are in DC3

Only the XC ssd is in DC2 for me.

  • @drdrake - I had the same issue and had to call their number (+1-302-782-0229) and request a verification (via your subscriber id/pin on the login page). Do that right away and you can proceed to order.

    Be QUICK!

  • (jumping with joy) my XC DEALS 1701.1 order went through after I don't know how many retries and 500s and what not.

They've taken my money - I think the server will not be far along :-)

  • Got one of the 1701.2 can not get a 1701.1 though now :-(

  • must resist... must resist...OK, I'm weak, got a XC DEALS 1701.2

    xc 1701.1 already gone

  • Yeah I'm in the install process now. They have a 1 click proxmox install and I wanted to try it, but picked debian 8 because I'm used to it. I just want to get the thing up for now, will deal with any unfinished business after the sale ends and they're not going nuts.

Re SMS: I got a link to confirm email: it was a JS link of some kind, so had to be clicked directly (not in new tab). Then after that I got a similar phone confirmation link. It took about 2 minutes for the SMS to arrive but it worked.

    satisfied glow

are/were you able to order failover IPs for those?

  • Any idea what the difference between MD DEALS 1701.1 and LT DEALS 1701.2 is?
Both have 1230v3, 32 GB, 2x2TB but I suspect one of them has HW Raid and the other doesn't?

  • Just ordered 4 of these bad boys. Tempted to buy some more. Must resist!

  • Oh crap, I don't know which one I got (MD or LT). MD sounds like the software one. Thing is, I don't know if I even want raid on this. Might use non-raid to have more space. I got the 750gb ftp backup space option for another 5 euro which is pretty good, and can back up the rest on time4vps or whatever. Just need to remember to "git push" whenever I save code :).

  • Is there any preference on DC2 or DC3? which one seems to have the best network?

I have one already attached to old one. Same IP is showing up under the failover tab of the LTDEAL1017.1.

Let the install complete and I'll verify remap.

  • @Tripleflix: Can you give me the script you are using? I see the HK location.

  • Notice that these servers have KVM over IP. It's awesome. The original personal hasn't.

The LT DEALS 1701.1 is auto-installed with linux softraid, I'll probably try ZFS mirror next

Manage server, last option on the list to the left

  • If anyone got a C2750 with 1TB I'll pay €15 for it.

  • @Wicked I don't think you can transfer servers.....

  • Thanks, bohdans !

Right after installing, and when I click replace:

    LOL.

Anyone knows what they will do with this case?

I got some XC DEALS 1701.2 servers with SAMSUNG MZ7LN128HCHP-00000 which is PM871 and it works in SATA3 mode ;)

Some older ones got Intel 320 Series 120 GB - SATA2.

Most of them had DELL Intel DC S3500 160 GB - limited to SATA2 by DELL.

Looks like all the E3 MDs from this batch and this LT1701.3 (https://documentation.online.net/en/dedicated-server/offers/limited/server-dedibox-lt-deals-1701-3)

    have hardware raid.
    Rest are softraid.

    List updated: https://documentation.online.net/en/dedicated-server/offers/limited/start

  • Got an E3-1240v2 on my 1701.3, seems good.

You should get one later. Contact support about that, and also try again with the replacement from time to time.
