Server Build - thoughts?

I've been looking at racking up a stack of servers with the following standard build:

Supermicro Chassis
E3 1230v2
4-32GB RAM
4 x 1TB Sata
Dedicated IPMI port

The option to customise ram and drives would be available. With the above in mind, I have a few questions:

1) Do you feel it's better to have the 4-bay chassis or would you like lower prices for a 2-bay chassis?
2) If you were to upgrade the RAM/drives, would you rather a 1 time fee and the same monthly cost or an increase in monthly cost?
3) Would you prefer smaller drives to help reduce the monthly cost? Say, 4 x 500GB instead of the 1TB.

Happy to listen to any feedback the community may have. If I go ahead with this I'll be sure to repay you all with a sunrise offer

1. 4 since the difference would be minimal, some kkind of real raid is needed most of the time.
2. 1 time fee and is better for you also since the customer may leave next month.
3. No, larger alwas better since the price scales good between 500-1000 gb, over 2 tb is a different story, but until then is better with bigger drives.

Cheaper to get the 1TB to be honest, for price:spec ratio.

I'd rather have a 2 bay and be able to put 4SSD's in there, or 4 bay for a small storage node.

I'd like the option to do both, depends on how much the one-off is. Some providers are just a little crazy with One-offs.

It's stupid to buy 500GB drives these days, the price difference between 500GB and 1TB is small, so I don't bother, 1TB minimum with any server.

Have a mix of the 4 and 2 bay chassis, most people go with 2 drives anyways.

I prefer on having everything monthly for dedicated servers, but having both the option of buying addons onetime and paying per month is also good.
