Sure, but if you use a local SIM, you'll hit the GFW. Using one of the HK SIMs is the best option to avoid GFW in terms of connectivity to China and cheap tariffs. I paid about USD 30 for 45GB of data

What kind of server you looking at colo?

I know we have plenty of customers who just have BGP via one of our ASN's going to either a cheap cheap Ubiquiti "router" or just doing it via a old EX4200 or a server.

I don't get this either. Personally I love huge storage on HDDs with some low-end resources (some cheap RAM + 1CPU core) instead of high-end NVMe/SSD with DDR5 and whatnot.

LET is famous for Dirt cheap stuff. (Image)

I don't expect too many 100gbps offerings, but the 40gbps nics are dirt cheap, and lots of providers have them already.

Given the data handling seems to be universal getting a local SIM with cheap China roaming would probably be OP's best option anyways to avoid crazy routing like China => UK => South Afr

We have the following colo packages. Let us know if we can help!

I get it, but you're going to need to up your budget a lot more, as most colo providers like Psychz in Dallas charge at least when I had a single server $69/month and if you needed IPMI/iLO/etc access

Yea seen this offer from hosteroid cheap cost but thing is with ddos protection at least basic protection is not there

* Selecting a provider that is cheap but unreliable

find a local mobile plan providing sufficiently cheap China roaming is obviously another question but if it works it would be quite easy and risk free.

Anyone can provide Germany 2GB ram vps for cheap cost guys

i have sg vps with them. vps is snappy. network also quiet good. only uptime is not the best, random reboot. but its cheap lol.

Fiberstate has good colo offers, best there is prob.

Anyone know of any colo offers for something like this or have some open rack space you want to fill for $30 or under?

I prefer the idea of a single proxy than vpn just as there seems no need for thousands of ips and I am thinking I could roll my own proxy with and ssh tunnel and cheap vps as a cheaper and more privat

calculation! per year!) to pay for hardware, colocation, power, ... and (at least in theory) the company also wants to turn a profit on all of this. Even if the DDoS protection only costs them 1-2€ p
