PING first does a DNS lookup for the domain (to connect), and then does a reverse lookup for formatting the output.

DNS returns right away. It seems to happen with any interval.

DNS amplification attacks have nothing to do with me. It's UDP replies from open DNS resolvers.

Maybe you should look into Trabia, I know they use Voxility and DDoS-Guard for mitigation. Voxility is good for L4 and DDoS-Guard is good for L4-7, DNS, and so on.

If you're using the registrar nameservers then you should be able to totally ignore cpanel DNS altogether, unless you plan on using it instead.

Hey there. You'll find the nameservers from your domain registrar. Somewhere in their control panel, you'll add a DNS record pointing your domain to the IP provided by your reseller hosting provider.
