never had issues with these things, especially using AES encryption. Never had such hight CPU load. I don't know what went wrong with your particular VPS, but I've been using SoftShell for almost 7 mo

like 12-13 years ago I used them. They were quite popular then. Managed VPS w/ cPanel. network was good, but the CPU models were E3/E5 then. Support was okish. Now their new pricing is too expensive.
