If it's just a response time issue have you considered that it might well be DNS related? Were you using the same DNS servers with siteground?

API, get your server to use googles and not ovH dns helped as well, if you share more info about the situation i would like to help you solve it i have been using OVH since 2011

down here as well. But the dns servers used from cloudns are working. api not checked, hopefully (at least) the api will run tonight (UTC) again.
