Well, misconfigured DNS server can hit you with more than 100.000 pps, so we realy do not want that to happen, and if we limit the pps for port 53, it will just end up in a realy bad user experience.

Is this becoming common? I don't recall providers banning DNS servers. I can understand why as poorly-configured DNS can cause a lot of network pain but I hadn't seen this restriction that I recall.
